RE-OPENING OF THE ST . JOHN'S ROYAL ARK MARINERS LODGE .

The St . Johns Lodge' of Royal Ark Mariners , attached to the Langley Lodge of Mark Master Masons , No . 28 , and which was founded some 20 years ago , was formally re-opened at the Masonic Hall , Working , street , Cardiff , on Thursday , the 28 th ult ., by Bro . William Vincent , P . G . I . G ., member of the Grand

Masters' Royal Ark Council . The lodge , the charter of which was granted in 1 S 70 , has been in abeyance for upwards of 18 years , and as Mark Masonry has made such rapid progress in the Province of South Wales , it was resolved to revive the Degree . Of the original members there were present Bros . Joseph

Thomas , P . P . S . G . W . ; Nelson D . Marks , P . G . S . ; and John R . Ingram , P . M . 28 . A large number of Mark Master Masons presented themselves at the opening ceremony , and were elevated to the Degree of Royal Ark Mariner according to ancient custom . Bro . Vincent , the Installing Master , by dispensation from

the Grand Master ' s Royal Ark Council , installed as P . C . N . Bros . Captain Geo . Homfray , Samuel Davies , and N . D . Marks . Bro . John Sheridan , P . S . G . W ., I . P . M ., who had been unanimously elected by his brethren to fill the firat Worshi p ful Commander ' s chair , was then enthroned .

The St . Johns Lodge' of Royal Ark Mariners , attached to the Langley Lodge of Mark Master Masons , No . 28 , and which was founded some 20 years ago , was formally re-opened at the Masonic Hall , Working , street , Cardiff , on Thursday , the 28 th ult ., by Bro . William Vincent , P . G . I . G ., member of the Grand

Masters' Royal Ark Council . The lodge , the charter of which was granted in 1 S 70 , has been in abeyance for upwards of 18 years , and as Mark Masonry has made such rapid progress in the Province of South Wales , it was resolved to revive the Degree . Of the original members there were present Bros . Joseph

Thomas , P . P . S . G . W . ; Nelson D . Marks , P . G . S . ; and John R . Ingram , P . M . 28 . A large number of Mark Master Masons presented themselves at the opening ceremony , and were elevated to the Degree of Royal Ark Mariner according to ancient custom . Bro .
