M ., who was assisted in the ritual of this degree by his junior officers , who reflected considerable credit on the tuition received at the hands of their YV . M . Some other formal business having been transacted , the YV . M . delivered a short but very

feeling address on the unexpected and sudden death of their late much esteemed Bro . E . Wilson , P . M ., and moved a vote of condolence , which was seconded by Bro . Elgey , and supported by Bro . Bordass , J . YV ., who , as the oldest member of the lodge present , bore a very high testimony to the great zeal and ability which had at all times

characterised him both in Ins Masonic and private life , having been twice elected to the Master ' s chair in the Craft lodge , and also occupying one of the Principal's chairs in the chapter . The lodge was afterwards closed in peace and harmony . On this occasion the brethren only partook of light refreshments , and separated at an early hour .

LIVERPOOL . —Lodge of Israel ( No . 1502 ) . — There are few lodges in the extensive Province of West Lancashire which have displayed more vitality within recent years than the Lodge of Israel , No . 1502 , whose meeting place is at the Masonic Hall , Hope-street . Originally consecrated ten years ago for the special accommodation and convenience of Jewish brethrenit has

, admirably fulfilled its purpose in this direction ; but while members of the Hebrew faith predominate on its roll there are not wanting Christian brethren , who not only hold office within its pale but likewise display an amount of Masonic enthusiasm and liberality which make them a power in "Israel . " Installation day in this lodge invariably means success and delight to all within the circle of

attendants , and that which took place on Monday , the 17 th ult ., proved as enjoyable , instructive , and satisfactory as any of which any record has yet been made during the past ten years . The reputation of No . 1502 stands high , and it lost none of its lustre in connection with the celebration of the annual festival of 1 . SS 4 .

After the business of the chapter was over , which included voting the sum of £ 10 10 s . to the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Female Fund , the companions adjourned to banquet , after which the usual and customary toasts were given , and a very pleasant evening was spent .

feeling address on the unexpected and sudden death of their late much esteemed Bro . E . Wilson , P . M ., and moved a vote of condolence , which was seconded by Bro . Elgey , and supported by Bro . Bordass , J . YV ., who , as the oldest member of the lodge present , bore a very high testimony to the great zeal and ability which had at all times

characterised him both in Ins Masonic and private life , having been twice elected to the Master ' s chair in the Craft lodge , and also occupying one of the Principal's chairs in the chapter . The lodge was afterwards closed in peace and harmony . On this occasion the brethren only partook of light refreshments , and separated at an early hour .

LIVERPOOL . —Lodge of Israel ( No . 1502 ) . — There are few lodges in the extensive Province of West Lancashire which have displayed more vitality within recent years than the Lodge of Israel , No . 1502 , whose meeting place is at the Masonic Hall , Hope-street . Originally consecrated ten years ago for the special accommodation and convenience of Jewish brethrenit has

, admirably fulfilled its purpose in this direction ; but while members of the Hebrew faith predominate on its roll there are not wanting Christian brethren , who not only hold office within its pale but likewise display an amount of Masonic enthusiasm and liberality which make them a power in "Israel . " Installation day in this lodge invariably means success and delight to all within the circle of

attendants , and that which took place on Monday , the 17 th ult ., proved as enjoyable , instructive , and satisfactory as any of which any record has yet been made during the past ten years . The reputation of No . 1502 stands high , and it lost none of its lustre in connection with the celebration of the annual festival of 1 . SS 4 .
