¦ -pHE PHILOSOPHY OF DRESS . Shakespeare , who knew all qualities with a learned spirit * f human dealing , rarely omits an opportunity cf indicating how thoroughly lie understood the Philosophy of Clothing . " The apparel , " h « says , " oft proclaims the . man . " Though the famous Lord Chesterfield , the author of the well-known " Letters to his Son , " was not a great genius or a profound philosopher , he vvas a singularly shrewd man of the world , and was well fitted to pronounce a judgment or to offer advice on this subject . " I confess , " he says , " that I cannot help forming some opinion of a man ' s sense and character from his dress , and I believe most people c \ o so as well as myself . " He gives excellent instructions to his son . "Take care always , " he says , " that your clothes are well made and fit you , for otherwise they will give you an awkward air . The foregoing remarks on the Philosophy of Dress are admirable , but they require to be supplemented with the advice to go to E . MOSES and SON , thc celebrated MERCHANT TAILORS and OUTFITTERS , of the MINORIES and ALDGATE , NEW OXFORD-STREET , and TOTTENHAM-COURT-ROAD , who supply every description of Clothing , ready-made or made to measure , for Adults and Juveniles of all classes , and who offer to their customers thc rare combination of excellence in materials and woikmanship , the newest designs , and unparalleled cheapness .
