The annual convocation of the Prov . G . Chapter of Middlesex was held at the Greyhound Hotel , on Saturday , the 31 st ult ., when the following companions were present : Comps . Raymond H . The audit report was adopted , and the Prov . G . Treas ., Comp . A Blenkarn , thanked for the ability with which he hid discharged his duties . The roll of chapters was called ; all were represented with the exception of two .

Herman's many qualifications for the post , the proposition was seconded and carried unanimously . Comp . RAYMOND H . THRUPP announced that the G . Superintendent had re-appointed him to the position of Prov . G . H ., and had also appointed Comp . Sir Reginald Hanson , as Prov . G . J . The following appointments were then made :

Boys , and the Lebanon Chapter having been thanked for the use ol furniture , the Prov . G . Chapter was closed . Comp . THRUPP , Prov . G . H ., afterwards presided at the banquet , when the usual toasts were briefly given .
Comp . Dr . F . LAWRANCE , P . G . S . B ., replied for the " Grand Officers , " and mentioned that this was the first Prov . G . Chapter he had attended , but it had given him great pleasure to be present . He was glad to meet many companions whom he knew , and appreciated the hospitality shown him .
In proposing " The Grand Superintendent , " Comp . THRUi'i * said that Lord George Hamilton intended being present , as he had not attended the last two meetings , but the exigencies of the State prevented him , as a special meeting of Parliament was called for that day , and he had to attend to support the Government . The Grand Superintendent ' s position in
connection with India was one of great anxiety , and though all present wished he had b > en with them , yet they felt his heart was with them , and they must acknowledge that the State had a higher claim than the Province of M ddlesex . Prov . Grand Officers , " and said that very pleasant duty had devolved upon him quite unexpectedly . It was the health of one so well known and so much respected both in the Craft and the Royal Arch—Comp . Thrupp , Prov . G . H . It was not necessary to speak of Comp . Thrupp's good work in the province , for they all knew his abilities and enjoyed his friendship . They earnestly hoped he would long b * j spared to take an active part in the affairs cf the Province of Middlesex .
Comp . RAYMOND H . THRUPP , Prov . G . H ., returned thinks . It was always a great pleasure to go amongst the companions as he was received with so much kindness . They knew that his heart was in the province , and that he did all he could to promote its happiness and prosperity . ANNUAL MEETING AT STOWMARKET . The annual meeting of the above Provincial Grand Lodge was held at the Corn Exchange , Stowmarket , under the banner of the Phuciix Lodge , No . 516 , on F ' riday , the 30 th ult . There was a large attendance of Prov . Grand Officers , present and Past . The DEPUTY PROV . GRAND MASTER having opened the Prov . Grand
Lodge , read a letter from the Prov . G . M . ( Bro . Lord Henniker ) , expressing deep regret at being unable to attend in consequence of illness , and added that his medical adviser hoped that with a few more days' continued rest he would be considerably better . The Deputy Prov . G . M ., before proceeding with business , presented Bro . Tracy , Prov . G . Sec ., on behalf of the lodges
in the province , with complete full dress Grand Lodge clothing , and a framed illuminated address on vellum , Bro . Rev . C . J . MARTYN explaining the presentation was in honour of the rank of Past G . Std . Br . being conferred
by the G . M . upon Bro . Tracy . He read an extract from the Prov . G . M . ' s letter , referring to Bro . Tracy , in which he expressed his sentiment of Bro . Tracy's worth , and hoping there would bs room in the address to receive his signature .
