After ample justice had been done to the many good things , the Worshipful Master gave the loyal and Masonic toasts in eloquent terms . In responding for "The Grand Officers , Present and Past , " Bro . Gafrod paid a great tribute to the present Grand Officers , who , he observed , had attained their offices
through sheer hard work . After 40 years' experience in the Craft , he had never seen better working than that of the VV . M ., and the Installing Master , Bro . VV . D . Church . Bro . Forty , I . P . M ., in proposing "The Health of the VVorshipful Master , " said that that was thc toast of the evening . The members had known him for many years , and no one was better able to conduct the business of the lodge , and he heartily wished him a happy year of
office . The toast was drunk with great enthusiasm , and Bro . Campbell , the W . M ., on rising to respond , received an ovation . He thanked the members for their great reception , which was more than a surprise to him . He belonged to no other lodge , but was "a Cockney of Cockneys . " I le was proud to be the Master of the lodge , and hc hoped to carry out the duties efficiently , and to do
everything for its interest . The VVorshipful Master gave the toast of " The I . P . M ., Bro . Forty . " I hc members' experience of him would be an excuse to receive him with enthusiasm . He took this opportunity of presenting him with a Past Master ' s jewel , which was nothing more than his due , for the great services he had rendered to the lodge . The inscription on the jewel was— " In token of esteem and fraternal regard . "
Bro . Forty , who was well received , thanked the bretliren for their flattering greeting , and the W . M . for his kind words . He appreciated the support he had had from them all during his term of office . He was proud to receive the jewel , but he had not , he thought , been as good as the previous Worshipful Masters , but he had tried to do his very best , and would continue to do everything he could to promote the interests of the lodge . Hc should never
forget the kindness he had received from his officers during the time he occupied the chair , and he thanked them from his heart for their great assistance . ln proposing " The Installing Master , " the W . M . stated that Bro . W . D . Church , P . M ., had introduced him into Masonry , and he was delighted to have been installed by so good a friend , lie had done the ceremony in a masterly and impressive manner , which he felt certain was
appreciated by the members and the visitors . Bro . W . D . Church , on rising , was received with acclamation . Hc said that what he had done was to him a great pleasure and honour . The W . M . was an old friend of his of many years standing , and he was proud of having introduced him to the lodge . He had also introduced nearly all of the present officers , and who , he ventured to think , would all hereafter give a good account of themselves .
The VVorshipful Master gave the toast of " The Visitors . " They had a great number present and he gave them all a hearty welcome . He couoled with the toast the names of several of the guests , whom lie asked to respond . Bro . Crowne , P . M ., in reply , thanked the W . M . for his very hearty welcome and the members for the profuse hospitality . The installation ceremony was perfect and the best he had ever seen . He congratulated the VV . M . and wished him a successful year of office .

Reports Of Masonic Meetings.
He coupled the names of Bro . Lutwych , the father of the lodge , and Bro . Luker , the junior Past Master , whom he asked to respond . Bro . Lutwych replied in appropriate terms , and said that if the Past Masters were called upon to do anything they would gladly gwe any assistance . Bro . Luker also responded , and said that the W . M .
would carry out his duties second to none , and certainl y would not require any assistance from the Past Masters . ln eloquent terms , the VV . M . gave the next toast— " The Treasurer and Secretary "—and said they both deserved the best thanks of the brethren for their able services . Bro . Blackburn , P . M ., Treas ., responded . He congratulated the lodge upon its splendid financial position , which
was due to their energetic Secretary , and he hoped the coming year would be as successful as the last . Bro . VV . D . Church , P . M ., Sec .., also replied . He stated that while he had thc confidence of the lodge he would do his duty fearlessly . The office of Secretary was not a sinecure . He would continue to do his utmost to carry out his duties for the interests of the lodge .
The next toast was "The Officers , " the VV . M . stating that they were all good , and he looked to them for every assistance , which he felt sure they would give him , to enable him to carry out the business of the lodge , to which suitable responses were made by Bros . evening , and the W . M . is to be congratulated on the great success of the gathering . The W . M . had provided an excellent concert , in which Bros . J . A . Brown , Albert James , Edwd . Robinson , who had promoted the summer outing of the lodge with the great success it was stated to have been . A letter from Bro . Coubro was read resigning his membership through ill-health , which was received with very great regret . The lodge was then closed , and the brethren adjourned
to a superb banquet , which was admirably served under the superintendence of Bro . Becker .
VV . D . Church . Bro . Forty , I .
Hc should never
forget the kindness he had received from his officers during the time he occupied the chair , and he thanked them from his heart for their great assistance . ln proposing " The Installing Master , " the W . appreciated by the members and the visitors . Bro . W .
M . and wished him a successful year of office .

would carry out his duties second to none , and certainl y would not require any assistance from the Past Masters . ln eloquent terms , the VV . M . gave the next toast— " The Treasurer and Secretary "—and said they both deserved the best thanks of the brethren for their able services . Bro . Blackburn , P . M ., Treas ., responded . was due to their energetic Secretary , and he hoped the coming year would be as successful as the last . Bro . VV . D . Church , P . M ., Sec .., also replied .
