A ., be elected an honorary member of this lodge of instruction , and , in doing so , said he felt sure that the brethren present were much pleased with the honour conferred upon the ladge of instruction by his presence , and tint he would C ; iry back to America happy remembrances of his visit amongst them that eveningseconded by Bro . A . Clark ; carried unanimously . The M . W . Ihe Grand Master of Maryland , in replying , said he could assure the brethren of the Covent Garden Lodt-e of Instruction that he should
always remember the honour conferred upon him that evening with a great deal of pleasure on being elected an honorary member of the lodge of instruction . He came to learn , and would have liked to have seen all the ceremonies rehearsed , but time won d not permit the enjoyment of that privilege . That evening he had learnt much , which would not be forgotten on his return home , where the working was somewhat different . He should tell the brethren in Maryland thrt their fellow brethren in England met in
lodges of instruction , and that they meant work , every brother taking and doing his best in the office that he filled . No time could he better devuted than for a brother to study in a lodge of instruction ; and he must congratulate the brother in the chair for his excellent working . He had observed that he was a young Mason , and had attended well to his work . The working in America , although somewhat different , was established by Masons from England , and the Most Worshipful Grand Master , H . R . H .
the Prince of Wales , had no subjects who were more loyal than the American Masons . ( Here the Grand Master of Maryland gave a short account of the introduction of Freemasonry into America and some illustrations of the working . ) In conclusion , he said that his trip to England had been to him one of great pleasure , for , although comi < g amongst them as a stranger , he had been greeted and received with heartiness in lodges which he had visited , and he assured the brethren that he should always remember with
pleasure his visit amongst them that evening , and should any brother connected therewith ever visit Baltimore they would receive a hearty welcome . always remember the honour conferred upon him that evening with a great deal of pleasure on being elected an honorary member of the lodge of instruction . He came to learn , and would have liked to have seen all the ceremonies rehearsed , but time won d not permit the enjoyment of that privilege . That evening he had learnt much , which would not be forgotten on his return home , where the working was somewhat different . He should tell the brethren in Maryland thrt their fellow brethren in England met in
lodges of instruction , and that they meant work , every brother taking and doing his best in the office that he filled . No time could he better devuted than for a brother to study in a lodge of instruction ; and he must congratulate the brother in the chair for his excellent working . He had observed that he was a young Mason , and had attended well to his work . The working in America , although somewhat different , was established by Masons from England , and the Most Worshipful Grand Master , H . R . H .
the Prince of Wales , had no subjects who were more loyal than the American Masons .
