Thanks to the energy of Sir Knig ht Arthur H . The name selected for the new preceptory is peculiarly appropriate , Temple Court , Guildford , now the residence of Sir Knight A . H . The Templars owned an estate near Guildford which still bears that name , although it has become Box Grove .

The ceremony of consecration was then most impressively performed , and ,
the standards having been consecrated , proclamation was made in the N . W . and S . W . according to ancient custom . The Iv . Preceptor designate , V . E . Sir Knight Colonel Noel Money , Prov . Prior for Kent and Surrey , was installed by the V . E . National Sub-Prior and proclaimed and saluted according to ancient custom . The Constable designate was invested , but to the great regret of the assembly , Sir

Preceptor appointed his officers as follows : Sir Knight Preston , Chaplain ; A . H . Bowles , Registrar ; B . A . Smith , Sub-Marshal ; Major Collins , Standard Bearer ; and F . H .
