the lodge . This being carried unanimously , the VV . M . thanked the brethren for the honour conferred Upon him , and said that was his maiden attempt at working the Fifteen Sections . The W . M . then proposed , and Bro . Dr . Powdrell seconded , that a vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes to Bro . J . Hemming , S . VV ., for the very able nianner in which he had fulfilled the duties of that office ;

thanked the brethren for the high honour conferred upon them . During the business , the M . VV . S . proposed that his remarks touching the regret of the chapter on the loss by death of their esteemed Bro . J . A .
