BRO . W . LANE . P . M . ; S . Our rcadcis will hear wilh deep sorrow f the somewhat sudden death of Bro . Win . Lane , which look place at his residence , on Wcdncsdav , the 31 st ult . His death , after but a short illness ( nine days ) , was through disease of the lungs . Bro . Lane vvas initiated into Freemasonry in 1 S 71 , in the Old King's Anns Lodge , No . 28 , in which

lodge he served the office of W . M . in 18 75 . In 1873 Bro . Lane vvas appointed collector to tbe Roval Masonic Benevolent Institution , which otlice he held up to the time of his death , discharging his duliss in a most agreeable and efficient manner . We deeply sympathise with his widow in her irreparable bereavement . Bro . I . ane had but just reached his thirtieth year .

BHO . W . li . BAKER . We have to announce the eleath of Uco . W . R . Baker , of Fore-. 'treet , which w ; is both sudden nnd unexpected . Taken ill on Saturday , the 271 I 1 ult ., he desired to be taken to the house ef his sister , Mrs . Perry , where he lingered until Tuesday , when death put an end to his sufferings .

The cause of death was the rupture of a long-startling abcess ( tlie result of some remote injury ) into the cavity of the abdomen . The funeral took place on Saturday last at Kensal Green Cemetery . Bro . Baker was initiated in the Lion and Lamb Lodge , No . 192 , in 1866 ; he was also one of the founders e . f the Cripple-gate Lodge , lately consecrated .
