WJ ; think it right to call thc attention of the Life Governors of thc Girls' School to the agenda paper for the ioth , and to urge their attendance . Several of the proposals are of very dubious policy as regards the interests of the School , in our humble

opinion . Surely we have had enough of puerile discussions and baneful personalities . We do not want our meetings turned into " debating clubs , " nor our patience tried by childish platitudes and obstructive tactics .

* * WE cannot agree with Bro . CUSHING ' S views as quoted in the New York Dispatch , either as regards Masonic Halls , or , if we understand them aright , as regards dancing . We always have advocated

the sitting apart of lodge rooms , when it can be done , for Masonic purposes alone , and feel certain that such an arrangement is a good thing for Masonry . We have always advocated , also , ball rooms , or large rooms for concerts and the like , as

we believe it is pure fanaticism to [ oppose amusements and social gatherings . We are living in an age of much noisy pretence , outward show , glittering shams , and pretentious " falutin , " and wc always
