Masonic Notes .

We remind our readers that a Quarterly Court of Governors and Subscribers to the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys will be held at Freemasons' Hall to-day ( Friday ) at the hour of 4 p . m . The principal business will be to consider the recommendation of the

Council as to the number of boys to be elected at the Quarterly Court in October . We understand that the final meeting of the Board

of Stewards at the recent Festival of the Boys School will take place at Freemasons' Hall on Monday next , the 13 th inst ., when the accounts will be considered and passed and the Board dissolved .

* * * At the meeting of the Council of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys on Saturday last a most cordial vote of thanks was passed to Bro . 1 . M . McLeod , the

Secretary of the Institution , for the great efforts he had made in behalf of the recent Festival and the success which attended them . No such compliment was ever more deserved .

* * * We mention in our article on the "Approaching Jubilee of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution " that it has been resolved to confer additional privileges in the shape of votes on Subscribers and Donors as

well as on those who act as Stewards at that Festival . These privileges will be inforce until the 30 th June , 1892 , and will , no doubt , have the desired effect of attracting donations and subscriptions and brethren to undertake Stewardships . The subscriber of £ 1 is . will receive

five instead of four votes , and a donor of £ 5 5 s . three votes for life instead of the usual two votes . Those who qualify as Life Governors by giving £ 10 10 s . will

receive eig ht votes for life instead of four votes , those giving £$ 2 10 s . and thereby qualify ing as Vice-Presidents , 80 votes instead oE 20 votes , and those giving ^ 105 ( Vice-Patrons ) 240 votes instead of 60 votes .

* * * As regards Ladies and Lewises ( being minors ) , a £ 5 5 s . donation ( Life Governorship ) will secure six votes for life instead of four votes ; one of £ 26 5 s . ( Vice-Presidentship ) , 80 votes instead of 20 votes ;

and one of £$ 2 10 s . ( Vice-Patronship ) 240 votes instead of 60 votes . Lodges , chapters , & c , contributing £ 10 10 s . will receive four votes instead of two votes ; £ 52 10 s ., 40 votes instead of 10 votes ; and £ 105 , 80 votes instead of' 30 votes .
