C . H . Driver gave a notice of motion that the sum of 10

Bro . J . T . Laing , Ancient City Lodge , Albany , N . Y . The lodge having been opened in due form , the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . Bro . Mason having volunteered as candidate , the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed in a most able manner by the W . M ., who also delivered the charge . The 2 nd Section of the Lecture was then worked by Bro . Kirby , assisted by

the assembled brethren . A ballot was taken , which proved unanimous in the election to membership of Bro . Parker , to whom a hearty welcome was extended . The brethren were called off , and immediately returned to duty . The VV . M . having rose the usual times , Bro . Baker was [ unanimously elected W . M . for the next meeting , and appointed his officers in rotation , and announced the work for that occasion . All business being ended , the lodge was closed .

The lodge was opened in the First Degree , and the minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed . A ballot was taken for Bro . J . T . Laing , which proved unanimous in his favour as a joining member . The ceremony of initiation was then rehearsed , Bro . Tatlow kindly lending his services as candidate . The lodge was opened in the Second Degree , and Bro . H . Sadler then rehearsed the

ceremony of passing , Bro . Nuding being candidate . Bro . Nuding then resumed the W . M . 's chair , and conducted the lodge through the routine business , during which Bro . Baker was elected W . M . for the ensuing week . He appointed his officers in rotation , and announced that the work would be a rehearsal of the second ceremony , an

explanation of the tracing board , and two Sections from the Lectures . The meetings of this lodge , although only instituted in the early part of this year , prove so successful and seem so highly appreciated that the Committee entertain every hope of a series of excellent and numerously attended meetings during the winter season . The lodge is opened promptly every Thursday evening at 7 . 30 .

CAMDEN LODGE ( No . 704 ) . — 'The usual weekly meeting of this lodge was held at the I . ewisham Masonic Rooms , adjoining the White Hart Hotel , 11 G , High-street , Lewisham , on Thursday , the 18 th ult . In the unavoidable absence of the W . M . elect , Bro . Walter Robin , the Preceptor , Bro . James Stevens , occupied the chair of K . S ., and the lodge was worked in the Third Degree , the brethren

remaining beyond the usual hour of closing to discuss several important points in connection with the ceremony to the advantage of all present . A meeting of the above lodge was also held on the 25 th ult ., when Bro . Robin presided , and Sections and ceremonial of the First Degree were very effectively worked . There

Mason having volunteered as candidate , the ceremony of initiation was rehearsed in a most able manner by the W . M ., who also delivered the charge . The 2 nd Section of the Lecture was then worked by Bro . Kirby , assisted by

the assembled brethren . A ballot was taken , which proved unanimous in the election to membership of Bro . Parker , to whom a hearty welcome was extended . The brethren were called off , and immediately returned to duty . The VV . M . having rose the usual times , Bro . Baker was [ unanimously elected W . The lodge was opened in the First Degree , and the minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed . A ballot was taken for Bro . J . T . Laing , which proved unanimous in his favour as a joining member . The ceremony of initiation was then rehearsed , Bro . Tatlow kindly lending his services as candidate . The lodge was opened in the Second Degree , and Bro . H . Sadler then rehearsed the

ceremony of passing , Bro . Nuding being candidate . Bro . Nuding then resumed the W . M . 's chair , and conducted the lodge through the routine business , during which Bro . Baker was elected W . M . for the ensuing week . He appointed his officers in rotation , and announced that the work would be a rehearsal of the second ceremony , an

explanation of the tracing board , and two Sections from the Lectures . The meetings of this lodge , although only instituted in the early part of this year , prove so successful and seem so highly appreciated that the Committee entertain every hope of a series of excellent and numerously attended meetings during the winter season . The lodge is opened promptly every Thursday evening at 7 . 30 .

CAMDEN LODGE ( No . 704 ) . — 'The usual weekly meeting of this lodge was held at the I . ewisham Masonic Rooms , adjoining the White Hart Hotel , 11 G , High-street , Lewisham , on Thursday , the 18 th ult . In the unavoidable absence of the W . M . elect , Bro . Walter Robin , the Preceptor , Bro . James Stevens , occupied the chair of K . S ., and the lodge was worked in the Third Degree , the brethren

remaining beyond the usual hour of closing to discuss several important points in connection with the ceremony to the advantage of all present . A meeting of the above lodge was also held on the 25 th ult ., when Bro . Robin presided , and Sections and ceremonial of the First Degree were very effectively worked . There
