Committee read , adopted , and ordered to be entered on the minutes . One petition ( male ) having been considered and accepted , and the name ordered to be placed on the list of candidates for the election in May , 18 90 , the proceedings terminated with a vote of thanks to the Chairman .

Davis , and J . D . Aslett . The lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed . The lodge

was opened in the Second Degree . Bro . Jobson having given proofs of his proficiency , was entrusted . The lodge was opened in the Third Degree , and the ceremony rehearsed , the W . M . rendering the traditional history . The lodge was resumed to the First Degree , and Bro . Jobson worked the 3 rd Section of the Lecture , under the direction of the Preceptor . The W . M . having risen , and Bro . A . Williams having been elected W . M . for the next meeting ( this being officers' of the mother lodge night ) , the lodge was closed .

EMBLEMATIC LODGE ( No . 1321 ) . —The usual weekly meeting of this lodge was held on Tuesday , the ist instant , at the Mona Hotel , Henrietta-street , W . C , when there were present Bros . 1 he lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed . The 2 nd Section of the Lecture was worked by Bro . Kirk . The ceremony of initiation was rehearsed , Bro . Beeson acting as candidate . The lodge was called off for refreshment , and , in a few minutes , resumed again for the further dispatch of business . The lod was then opened and closed in the

ge Second and Third Degrees . After the dues had been collected , the S . W ., Bro . Graham , was elected W . M . for the next meeting , and appointed his officers in rotation . The Secretary announced that the ceremony of installation would be worked in this lodge on Tuesday , the 29 th instant .

A hearty vote of thanks was unanimously passed , and ordered to be recorded on the minutes , to Bro . Berry , W . M ., on his occupying the chair for the first time in this od ge of instruction , and for the able manner in which he » ad discharged the duties of the chair . All business being ended , the lodge was closed .

Berridge was unanimously elected Treasurer in his place . Bros . Cooper and Gordon Smith were elected Auditors , and Bro . Mills , Tyler . Numerous names having been submitted for ballot at the next meeting , subject to the Grand

Mark Master ' s approval , Past Masters' jewels were unanimously voted to Bros , the Marquess of Hertford , VV . M ., and Alfred Williams , D . M . A vote of sympathy was passed to Bro . F . Davison in his illness , together with a vote of thanks for his past services as Treasurer .

The lodge was then closed , and adjourned till the first Wednesday in April . The banquet was held at the Holborn Restaurant , under the distinguished and genial presidency of Bro . the Most Hon . the Marquess of Hertford . A few toasts were given and duly honoured .

Two candidates were afterwards proposed , and the lodge was closed , when the brethren adjourned to the refreshment board , and listened to a most enjoyable entertainment provided by the musical friends who were in attendance .

the funeral of the late Dowager-Duchess of Beaufort took place in Badminton Parish Church on Tuesday , among the members of the family present at the ceremony being his Grace the Duke of Beaufort , Bro . the Earl and Countess of Londesborough , Bro . Viscount and Viscountess Raincliffe , and Bro . the Earl of Cowley . The obsequies were of a private character , only the family being in attendance .

The lodge was then closed , and adjourned till the first Wednesday in April . The banquet was held at the Holborn Restaurant , under the distinguished and genial presidency of Bro . the Most Hon . the Marquess of Hertford . A few toasts were given and duly honoured .

the funeral of the late Dowager-Duchess of Beaufort took place in Badminton Parish Church on Tuesday , among the members of the family present at the ceremony being his Grace the Duke of Beaufort , Bro . the Earl and Countess of Londesborough , Bro . Viscount and Viscountess Raincliffe , and Bro . the Earl of Cowley . The obsequies were of a private character , only the family being in attendance .
