authors classed under the heading " History and Biography ; " £ 305 to devotees of science and art ; and £ S $ to poets ; and a like sum to writers on Biblical subjects . of a statue of Archdeacon Musgrave , the work of Mr . Day Keyworth , son of our much respecteed Bro . Keyworth of Leeds . Of the late venerable Archdeacon Musgrave , D . D ., the same artist has just finished in statuary marble , a recumbent statue , to be placed in the parish church , Halifax . The subscribers to this memorial have reason to be pleased with their choice of an aitist ; for , whether we

regard the happy way in which he has caught the benign expression of the reverend doctor ' s face , thc repose of the figure , or the treatment of the drapery , we cannot help regarding this as Mr . Day Keyworth ' s most successful effort in monumental statuary , and we say this with the full recollection of the recumbent figure of another eminent divine , which we noticed in laudatory terms last year . —
