1 he Audit Committee for 1890 was appointed , and the Provincial Grand Chapter was formally closed . The companions then adjourned to an excellent banquet , which was admirably catered for , and served under the personal superintendence of Bro . Mella . "The Queen and R . A . Masonry" having been given at the conclusion of the dinner ,
The G . SUPERINTENDENT proposed "H . R . H . the Prince of Wales , and Lords Carnarvon , Lathom , and Leigh , and the Grand Officers , " ancl said he was sure the toast would be received with the greatest pleasure and enthusiasm . They were all aware what the Earl of Carnarvon had done to assist H . R . H . the Prince of Wales .
H . R . H . was , unfortunately , not often able to be present , but they vvere aware of the extraordinary amount of work he hacl performed during the time he hacl occupied his present position . The Earl of Carnarvon vvas always ready to help the companions , and Lords Lathom and Leigh at all times did what they could for the Order .
