The Quarterly Court of Subscribers to the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls was held on Thursday at Freemasons' Hall , London . A Special Court was first held , over which Bro . A . C . Spaull presided , and at which Bros . Charles Sheppard , G . H . Hopkinson , C . Pulman , William Dodd , G . S . Recknell , Peter de L . Long , T . H . Gardiner , E . M . Money , and F . R . W . Hedges were present , and at which the following resolution was
passed , on the motion of Bro . SrAULL , seconded by Bro . LONG : " That the laws relating to Elections be and are hereby suspended so far as regards the election of Kate Winifred Phelelta Williams , a duly qualified candidate , with a view to her immediate admission into the Institution , her father having died through an injury received while on active service in South
Africa , and that she be and is hereby elected , without ballot , accordingly , subject nevertheless to all the Laws and Regulations pertaining to girls after election . " Bro . GARDINER , " That this Court has heatd with great gratification that their Majesties the King

and the Queen are graciously pleased to accept the offices of Chief Patron and Chief Patroness to the Institution , and that the same be recorded accordingly . " The motion was carried unanimously . On the motion of Bro . E . M . MONEY , seconded by Bro . T . H . GARDINER , Bro . A . W . Orwin , M . D ., P . A . G . D . C , Vice-Patron , was appointed as Honorary Throat and Ear Physician to the Institution .
On the motion of Bro . SPAULL , seconded by Bro . T , H . GARDINER , the following motion was carried : " That Laws 58 and 83 be amended as under : Law 58 , in thi rd and fourth line , in lieu of' except when that day shall be Christmas Day , and then on the day preceding , ' substitute ' except in the month of December , and then on the Thursday preceding . ' Law 83 , after word ' Committee ' omit words ' on the last Thursday . ' " Sixteen vacancies were then declared for the October election , at which there will be 26 candidates . A vote of thanks to the Chairman closed the proceedings .

PROVINOIAL GRAND LODGE OF WILTSHIRE .
INSTALLATION OF THE EARL OF RADNOR AS G . SUPERINTENDENT AND PROV . GRAND MASTER . LAYING THE FOUNDATION STONE OF A NEW MASONIC HALL .
There was a large gathering of Freemasons of the Province of Wilts at Salisbury on Wednesday , the 3 rd inst ., when the Earl of Radnor was installed as Grand Superintendent of the Prov . Grand Chapter and Prov . Grand <» aster of Wilts . Advantage was taken of the occasion to lay the foundation-stone of the new Masonic Hall , which the Elias de Derham Lodge , No , 586 , are building in Crane-street . All the chapters and lodges
in the province were well represented , a number of Grind Officers attended , there was a strong muster of members of the Elias de Derham Lodge , and there were also some visitors from neighbouring provinces . The proceedings were invested with more than usual local interest from the fact that so near a neighbour of the city as the Earl of Radnor was to be installed
into the exalted offices of Grand Superi tendent of the Prov . G . Chapter and Prov . G . Master of Wilts by his brother-in-law , the Earl of Lathom , who is Grand Superintendent and Prov . G . M . of West Lancashire . By the death of the late Earl of Radnor the Province of Wilts lost its Grand Master , and it was a source of great satisfaction to all the brethren when it was made known that the present Earl had been appointed as his father's successor .
The installation ceremony took place at the Assembly Rooms , which had been very handsomely and tastefully decorated . The palms and flowering plants used in the decorations , which were very choice , were lent by the Earl of Radnor . On the right of the staircase a small room was set apart for members of Grand Lodge , the smaller of the two Assembly Rooms was used as a reception room , and the large hall , which was very prettily adorned , was furnished as the lodge room .
The Prov . G . Chapter was opened at one o ' clock by the Installing Officer , Comp . the Right Hon . the Earl of Lathom , assisted by the Prov . G . H . and G . J . After formal business of the convocation had been transacted , Comp . Lord Lathom duly installed the Earl of Radnor as G . Superintendent , after which the following Officers of the Prov . G . Chapter were appointed :

After partaking of luncheon at the Council House , the Prov . G . Lodge
assembled at the Assembly Rooms , and Bro . the Earl of Radnor was duly installed as Prov . G . Master by the Earl of Lithom , who paid a tribute to the memory of the late Prov . G . Master , and expressed the opinion that a gooc ] father was being followed by a good son in the office . The new Prov . G . Master then appointed as his Deputy Bro . C . N . P . Phipps , who filled the office under the late Earl , and has since his death fulfilled the duties of Prov . G . Master .
The alms collected at the close of the Prov . G . Lodge were given to Salisbury Infirmary , of which Bro . Lord Radnor is president . Directly the Prov . G . Lodge was closed , the brethren proceeded to Crane-street for the ceremony of laying the foundation-stone of the new Masonic Hall . The new build'ng , which is situate on the north side oi Crane-street , and close to the eastern end of Crane Bridge , is to b ;
constructed of red brick with Bath stone dressings . The fro . it will have stone mullioned windows , and a pointed arched doorway and gable with stone coping . In the gable will be a panel with three compartments showing three Masonic emblems . At the west side , close to the front , is a large mullioned bay window , which will relieve the squareness of the general p lan of the building . Inside there will be a lodge-room , 40 feet by 24 feet , with
a good Tyler's lobby j a banqueting-room , 40 feet by 24 feet ; two retiring or private rooms , a kitchen , and other offices . Tne lodge-roam will be lighted by three high windows on the west side , and will have an open timberframed roof . Good ventilation will bz provided , and there will bi a complete installation of the electric light . The architect of ths bjilding is Bro . A . C . Bothams , and the contractor , Bro . H . I . Kite .
The brethren of the Elias de Durham Lodge and other brethren not taking part in the procession went direct to the new Masonic Hall and took the places assigned to them by the acting Prov . G . D . INSTALLATION OF THE EARL OF RADNOR AS G . SUPERINTENDENT AND PROV . GRAND MASTER . LAYING THE FOUNDATION STONE OF A NEW MASONIC HALL .
There was a large gathering of Freemasons of the Province of Wilts at Salisbury on Wednesday , the 3 rd inst ., when the Earl of Radnor was installed as Grand Superintendent of the Prov . Grand Chapter and Prov . Grand <» aster of Wilts . Advantage was taken of the occasion to lay the foundation-stone of the new Masonic Hall , which the Elias de Derham Lodge , No , 586 , are building in Crane-street . All the chapters and lodges
in the province were well represented , a number of Grind Officers attended , there was a strong muster of members of the Elias de Derham Lodge , and there were also some visitors from neighbouring provinces . The proceedings were invested with more than usual local interest from the fact that so near a neighbour of the city as the Earl of Radnor was to be installed
into the exalted offices of Grand Superi tendent of the Prov . G . Chapter and Prov . G . Master of Wilts by his brother-in-law , the Earl of Lathom , who is Grand Superintendent and Prov . G . M . of West Lancashire . By the death of the late Earl of Radnor the Province of Wilts lost its Grand Master , and it was a source of great satisfaction to all the brethren when it was made known that the present Earl had been appointed as his father's successor .
The installation ceremony took place at the Assembly Rooms , which had been very handsomely and tastefully decorated . The palms and flowering plants used in the decorations , which were very choice , were lent by the Earl of Radnor . On the right of the staircase a small room was set apart for members of Grand Lodge , the smaller of the two Assembly Rooms was used as a reception room , and the large hall , which was very prettily adorned , was furnished as the lodge room .
The Prov . G . Chapter was opened at one o ' clock by the Installing Officer , Comp . the Right Hon . the Earl of Lathom , assisted by the Prov . G . H . and G . J . After formal business of the convocation had been transacted , Comp . Lord Lathom duly installed the Earl of Radnor as G . Superintendent , after which the following Officers of the Prov . G . Chapter were appointed :

After partaking of luncheon at the Council House , the Prov . G . Lodge
assembled at the Assembly Rooms , and Bro . the Earl of Radnor was duly installed as Prov . G . Master by the Earl of Lithom , who paid a tribute to the memory of the late Prov . G . Master , and expressed the opinion that a gooc ] father was being followed by a good son in the office . The new Prov . G . Master then appointed as his Deputy Bro . C . N . P . Phipps , who filled the office under the late Earl , and has since his death fulfilled the duties of Prov . G . Master .
The alms collected at the close of the Prov . G . Lodge were given to Salisbury Infirmary , of which Bro . Lord Radnor is president . Directly the Prov . G . Lodge was closed , the brethren proceeded to Crane-street for the ceremony of laying the foundation-stone of the new Masonic Hall . The new build'ng , which is situate on the north side oi Crane-street , and close to the eastern end of Crane Bridge , is to b ;
constructed of red brick with Bath stone dressings . The fro . it will have stone mullioned windows , and a pointed arched doorway and gable with stone coping . In the gable will be a panel with three compartments showing three Masonic emblems . At the west side , close to the front , is a large mullioned bay window , which will relieve the squareness of the general p lan of the building . Inside there will be a lodge-room , 40 feet by 24 feet , with
a good Tyler's lobby j a banqueting-room , 40 feet by 24 feet ; two retiring or private rooms , a kitchen , and other offices . Tne lodge-roam will be lighted by three high windows on the west side , and will have an open timberframed roof . Good ventilation will bz provided , and there will bi a complete installation of the electric light . The architect of ths bjilding is Bro . A . C . Bothams , and the contractor , Bro . H . I . Kite .
The brethren of the Elias de Durham Lodge and other brethren not taking part in the procession went direct to the new Masonic Hall and took the places assigned to them by the acting Prov . G . D . C . The Prov . G . M . and the Grand and Prov . Grand Officers having marched in procession to the site of the new hall , and having taken their places , the W .
