lodge further resolved that a Past Master ' s jewel be presented to that brother in appreciation of the valuable services which he had rendered for several years to the lodge . A presentation , at the choice of the recipient , was also unanimously voted to Bro . P . Bois , P . M ., who has been the Secretary of the lodge for many years past . Three candidates were proposed for initiation at the next
regular meeting , and after the lodge was duly closed , the brethren made for the banquet room to partake of the annual banquet . The banquet room had been most chastely decorated with flowers and evergreens by the new Worshipful Master , who is a local florist of note . Several admirable
designs decorated the walls , and , together with some one hundred and fifty Chinese lanterns , all lighted , gave the room a fairy-like and pleasant appearance , betokening the happy reception which Bro . H . Elliott desired to give to the extra large concourse of brethren who honoured him with their presence , no less than one hundred and three in number .
The banquet was served by Bro . G . H . Mitchelmore , who did his utmost to give entire satisfaction . The toasts were proposed by the W . M . in a rather pleasant , floral language , and "The Queen and Masoniana , " as well as "England's Hope and the Grandiflora ? , " had a most hearty reception , and were followed by the anthems that usually accompany them .
Bro . Dr . J . Le Cronier , P . A . G . D . C . Eng ., responded to the latler toast in very suitable terms . After "The Officers of the Prov . Grand Lodge , " came "The Prince of Wales's Selected , " and met with a reception only equalled by the fluent and agreeable manner in which Bro . H . Elliott responded to it . The toast of "The Three Sisters " was heartily received
by the brethren , and ably responded to by Bro . J . C . Le Sueur , who alluded to the forthcoming Stewardship of Bro . Col . E . C Malet de Carteret , the D . P . G . M ., to the next Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys , and urged that the utmost be done in appreciation of the valuable services rendered by those Institutions to that province . In proposing "The Roses Planted To-day , " the VV . M .
said that he had entire confidence that the staff of officers which he had invested that day would ably second him in carrying out the best interests of the lodge during the ensuing year . He was justified in that confidence from the very efficient way in which several of the officers had worked in the past . A large number of brethren contributed to the harmony
of the evening . The selections on the violin by Bro . A . McKee were well applauded , as was also the able recitation by Bro . Wybert Rousby . The songs by Bros . E . L . Bisson , A . H . Powel , H . Proust , and Newbegin deserve also special mention . Bro . VV . Fentinn , P . P . G . Org ., accompanied on the piano in an able manner as musical director .
It is worthy of note that , notwithstanding the extra large gathering of brethren in the banqueting room—the largest number it could possibly contain—the temperature was most pleasant throughout the evening , which contributed materially to the happiness of the brethren during this auspicious festival .

M ., alluded to the striking fact , unknown before in his Masonic experience , of three members of one family ( father and two sons ) holding offices at one time in the same lodge , and the junior member of the three is the W . M . for the year of St . Kew . The proceedings were pleasingly diversified with songs and recitations .

Lane and Taylor to the advantages offered to Masonic students and to lodges in their corporate capacity by the Quatuor Coronati Lodge , the members resolving that the Jordan Lodge should join the Correspondence Circle . Several questions of lodge interest were brought forward , and , after an animated discussion , in which the younger members came well to the front , the lodge was closed .
