Z . congratulated them both on the very satisfactory manner they discharged their respective offices . They had filled their positions many years , and he trusted that they would continue to hold them for some time yet . Comp . Higgins having said a few words in response ,
Comp . George Everett replied . He said that he had been ill , and was by no mjins equal to making a speech . However , . he could njt allow the opportunity to pass without thanking them for all their kindness . Failing health had compelled him to resign the Treasurership of the lodge , as the work was too much for him , but he had no wish to resign the Treasurership of the chapter unless actually compelled . A candidate was proposed for advancement at the next meeting , and after " Hearty good wishes " from the visitors , the lodge was closed . After substantial refreshment , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured .
Bro . G . H . Parke , P . M . no , P . P . G . W . Lanes ., G . S . Eng ., responded on behalf of "The Grand Officers , " and expressed the pleasure it afforded him to have been able to attend the lodge that evening and to see thevery satisfactory manner the ritual had been rendered in the lodge by the W . M . and his officers . He felt it was a pride and pleasure to have the opportunity of responding to the toast—so cordially received—of the Grand Officers .
The Worshi p ful Master , in proposing the toast of " The R . W . Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Grand Officers , Present and Past , " stated how gratifying it was to the lodge to have present with them that evening so many Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past , many of whom had done good service in Mark Masonry . He found the officers who had held rank in the province were always willing to attend at the
various lodges and to render any services that might be required of them . The toast was responded to by Bro . J . Woollens , P . P . G . W ., who thanked the brethren for the cordial manner they had received the toast . It was several years since he had previously visited the lodge , and it was most gratifying to see the progress that had been made , and the great increase in its membership . He hoped that it would go on and continue to prosper .
" The Health of the W . M . " was proposed in complimentary terms by Bro . G . H . Parke , P . G . S . E ., who stated that he had enjoyed the pleasure of the acquaintance of Bro . Last for a number of years , and had known him to be a goad Mason . He was present at his installation , and was pleased to have the privilege of proposing the toast . Bro . J . T . Last , W . "The Visitors " was submitted by the W . M ., who recognised the honour the W . M . of Integrity Lodge , No . no , Wakefield , and his officers had done him and the Old York Lodge by paying that fraternal visit . He took it as a compliment that they had so readily accepted the invitation it had been his pleasure to give them . On behalf of the lodge , he gave them a most cordial greeting and hearty welcome . Bro . Joseph Matthewman , W . M . no , Provincial Grand Secretary , in responding
to the toast , said he thanked the Worshipful Master for the kind invitation that he had extended to him and the officers of Integrity Lodge to pay that fraternal visit to the Oid York Lodge—the oldest Mark lodge in the province , and he assured him that th : invitation had been acceptei with much pleasure . They had baen pleased with the working of the ceremony of advancement in the lodge , and he hoped before long to have the pleasure of rec : iving a visit from the W . M . and officers of the Old York Lodge at the Integrity Lodge , Wakefield .

Refreshment followed labour , and , upon the removal of the cloth , the usual toasts were given and responded to . In proposing the toast of "The Scribe E . and Treasurer , " the M . E . Z . congratulated them both on the very satisfactory manner they discharged their respective offices . They had filled their positions many years , and he trusted that they would continue to hold them for some time yet . Comp . Higgins having said a few words in response ,
Comp . George Everett replied . He said that he had been ill , and was by no mjins equal to making a speech . However , . he could njt allow the opportunity to pass without thanking them for all their kindness . Failing health had compelled him to resign the Treasurership of the lodge , as the work was too much for him , but he had no wish to resign the Treasurership of the chapter unless actually compelled . During the proceedings Comp . Alton officiated most ably at the pianoforte . Comps . Buxton , Ayling , and Lundie gave also welcome contributions .

confirmed . The ballot was taken for Bro . H . Fearno , 101 S , and he was declared duly elected , after which he and Bro . VV . H . Banks , W . M . 2330 ( who had been elected at a previous meeting ) , were advanced to the Degree of Mark Master by Bro . Last , W . M . Bros . Whiteley , P . P . G . O . Norfolk , P . P . G . O ., Sec , and Harrison , I . P . M ., assisted in rendering portions of the ritual . A candidate was proposed for advancement at the next meeting , and after " Hearty good wishes " from the visitors , the lodge was closed . After substantial refreshment , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured .
Bro . G . H . Parke , P . M . no , P . P . G . W . Lanes ., G . S . Eng ., responded on behalf of "The Grand Officers , " and expressed the pleasure it afforded him to have been able to attend the lodge that evening and to see thevery satisfactory manner the ritual had been rendered in the lodge by the W . M . and his officers . He felt it was a pride and pleasure to have the opportunity of responding to the toast—so cordially received—of the Grand Officers .
The Worshi p ful Master , in proposing the toast of " The R . W . Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Grand Officers , Present and Past , " stated how gratifying it was to the lodge to have present with them that evening so many Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past , many of whom had done good service in Mark Masonry . He found the officers who had held rank in the province were always willing to attend at the
various lodges and to render any services that might be required of them . The toast was responded to by Bro . J . Woollens , P . P . G . W ., who thanked the brethren for the cordial manner they had received the toast . It was several years since he had previously visited the lodge , and it was most gratifying to see the progress that had been made , and the great increase in its membership . He hoped that it would go on and continue to prosper .
" The Health of the W . M . " was proposed in complimentary terms by Bro . G . H . Parke , P . G . S . E ., who stated that he had enjoyed the pleasure of the acquaintance of Bro . Last for a number of years , and had known him to be a goad Mason . He was present at his installation , and was pleased to have the privilege of proposing the toast . Bro . J . T . Last , W . M ., suitably responded .
"The Visitors " was submitted by the W . M ., who recognised the honour the W . M . of Integrity Lodge , No . no , Wakefield , and his officers had done him and the Old York Lodge by paying that fraternal visit . He took it as a compliment that they had so readily accepted the invitation it had been his pleasure to give them . On behalf of the lodge , he gave them a most cordial greeting and hearty welcome . Bro . Joseph Matthewman , W . M . no , Provincial Grand Secretary , in responding
to the toast , said he thanked the Worshipful Master for the kind invitation that he had extended to him and the officers of Integrity Lodge to pay that fraternal visit to the Oid York Lodge—the oldest Mark lodge in the province , and he assured him that th : invitation had been acceptei with much pleasure . They had baen pleased with the working of the ceremony of advancement in the lodge , and he hoped before long to have the pleasure of rec : iving a visit from the W . M . and officers of the Old York Lodge at the Integrity Lodge , Wakefield .
"The Past Masters of the Lodge ., " was proposed by Bro . J . Woollens , P . M . no , P . P . G . W . Bro . Harrison , P . M ., suitably acknowledged the toast . " The Newly-advanced Brethren " was proposed by Bro . J . Hill , S . D . Bro . J . VV . Banks responded . The Tyler's toast closed a very pleasant meeting . The speeches were interspersed with songs and recitations from Bros . Whiteley , Hudson , Last , Clough , Pullan , and Crossley .
