The Worshi pful Company of Pewterers are to be congratulated on the display furnished on their behalf bv Messrs . Brosvn and Englefield—of svhich firm , by the svay , Comp . Brosvn is svell known among Masons in connection svith the Metropolitan Chapter of Improvement , svhere he is a most able and zealous worker . This exhibit consisted of a pesvterer ' s shop , in svhich the various

processes of the trade , such as casting , turning , hammering , soldering , and finishing , svere shosvn in full operation . Moreover , there svas this peculiar interest attached to the shop , namely , that the svheel and lathe , svith the hammering stool and stake , svere the identical ones in use by the predecessors of the firm more than tsvo centuries ago .

I here were also exhibited many other articles of interest , among them being the old Winchester measure , svith the present standard measure , and a barber's basin svith place to fit it round the neck . Lastly , as the procession moved along , the artizans svere engaged in casting medals commemorative of the occasion , Bro . Staples being a Past Master of the Company .

The Worshi pful Company of Pewterers are to be congratulated on the display furnished on their behalf bv Messrs . Brosvn and Englefield—of svhich firm , by the svay , Comp . Brosvn is svell known among Masons in connection svith the Metropolitan Chapter of Improvement , svhere he is a most able and zealous worker . This exhibit consisted of a pesvterer ' s shop , in svhich the various

processes of the trade , such as casting , turning , hammering , soldering , and finishing , svere shosvn in full operation . Moreover , there svas this peculiar interest attached to the shop , namely , that the svheel and lathe , svith the hammering stool and stake , svere the identical ones in use by the predecessors of the firm more than tsvo centuries ago .

I here were also exhibited many other articles of interest , among them being the old Winchester measure , svith the present standard measure , and a barber's basin svith place to fit it round the neck . Lastly , as the procession moved along , the artizans svere engaged in casting medals commemorative of the occasion , Bro . Staples being a Past Master of the Company .
