of the mother chapter , occupied the chair , and the working was perfect . In the course of the evening Comp . VV . D . Slyman gave an interesting resume of the chapter work since its formation in 1 S 74 , mentioning that he was the only companion now living vvho attended its first meeting . Particular reference was made to the great loss the chapter experienced in the unexpected death of Comp . Baker who acted as Preceptor for 15 years ( highly respected and

deeply lamented by all vvho knew him . ) The chapter had had its sunshine and shadow , but now everything appeared bright , and vvith such a goodly number of P . Z . ' s and other companions it would continue to be prosperous . Comps . Kempton , P . Z ., and Thomas , P . Z ., spoke of the excellent working taught at this chapter of improvement . Comp . Slyman gave an interesting resume of the chapter work since its formation in 1 S 74 , mentioning that he was the only companion now living vvho attended its first meeting . Particular reference was made to the great loss the chapter experienced in the unexpected death of Comp . Baker who acted as Preceptor for 15 years ( highly respected and

deeply lamented by all vvho knew him . ) The chapter had had its sunshine and shadow , but now everything appeared bright , and vvith such a goodly number of P . Z .
