M . in proposing the toast of " 'The Masonic Charities , " said he was standing as Steward for the Benevolent Institution festival on the 26 th inst ., and hehad already £ 65 12 s . Bratt , referred to the valuable services which he had rendered to the lodge for many years past , and stated that the present prosperous condition of the lodge was very largely due to his untiring efforts to promote its welfare .

The testimonial to Bro . Banks also took the form of a similar jewel , the task of presenting it being entrusted to Bro . Bratt , who remarked on the ability displayed by Bro . Banks in the discharge of his duties as Treasurer to the lodge , adding that the brethren asked his acceptance of the jewel as a mark of their high appreciation of his long and faithful labours . Bros . Bratt and Banks returned suitable

thanks . 'The brethren unanimously passed a vote of condolence with the mother and relatives of the late Bro . VV . A . Edwards , a member of the lodge , who has recentl y died , The assent of the lodge having been given to a petition in favour of the formation of a Royal Arch Chapter in Norwich , the lodge was closed .
