the historical lecture by Comp . Quick . The companions afterwards retired to the banquetingroom below , where the usual pleasant supper was spread , and the visitors were cordially welcomed . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and the brethren separated at a reasonable hour , loath to part , and hoping to meet soon again . This chapter is prospering greatly just now , and is likely to continue to do so , all the officers doing their work well and acting most harmoniously together , as Masons should .
WOOLSTON . —Ancasta Chapter ( No . 1461 ) . — A meeting of this chapter was held on Wednesday , the 29 th ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Bro . Bowyer , M . E . The Committee of the above Institution met on Wednesday , at the Freemasons' Hall , Bro . Raynham W . Stewart in the chair . Bro . Terry , the Secretary , reported the death of three accepted male candidates for the election to-day ( Friday ) . The Warden's report was read and cheques
were signed for the ensuing quarter ' s annuities and for various current expenses . The list of attendances on the Committee for the past year was read . Bro . Clever , who had qualified as a Vice-President , retired , and Bro . Sillitoe also retired . Bro . Dilley was renominated , and the names o ' six of the brethren were given in for election to-day ( Friday ) . The annual report , which will be submitted to the meeting to-day , was also read and approved .

Bro . Baker again gave the solo of the Masonic version of " God bless the Prince of Wales . " The VICE-PRESIDENT , in giving in felicitous terms "The Health of the VV . M . of the Mother Lodge , Bro . J . VV . Harvey , " referred to the correct and perfect working of the ritual and ceremonies . This toast was enthusiastically received and duly honoured .
Bro . Kempton gave a humourous recitation , " The Half Hundred , " in first rate style , and The PRESIDENT , in reply , stated that if he was correct in his working thanks were due to Bro . Baker , from whom he had learnt his Masonry . Bro . Ford then sang " lorn Bowling . " The toast of the evening— " Bro . Baker , P . M .,
Preceptor , and Honorary Member of the Robert Burns Lodge " —was then proposed by the PRESIDENT , who , in happy phrases , referred to the invaluable services rendered by Bro . Baker to the Robert Burns Lodge , and to Masonry in general , during the last 27 years by his untiring and accurate teaching of the ritual , his kindly and brotherly help which he was at all times so ready to afford to any young
Masons ; and he said that he was quite sure that all the brethren would unite in wishing Uro . Baker might be spared for many years lo come , that he was one of the oldest Preceptors , both in the Craft and Arch , and had given his untiring and undivided attention to his teaching younger Masons . After •' Annie Laura " had been sung by Bro . Blundell ,
Bro . BAKER responded , and , in thanking the brethren for the manner in which this toast had been drank , said that as long as T . G . A . O . T . U . spared him health and strength , he should endeavour to do his best to teach those who came to him for help . He felt it no mean honour when he said that most of the Past Masters of the Robert Burns Lodge had been " his boys , " and nothing gave him greater
pleasure than to see them take the chair and its work with credit to themselves and to the lodge to which they belonged . " The Visitors" were then proposed by Bro . BAUER , and responded to by Bros . REYNOLDS , SECKER , and COLES . The next toast was that of " The Treasurer and
Secretary and Officers of the Mother Lodge , " which was duly responded to by Bros . WELCH , DEATON , and HAWKINS . After numerous songs and recitations , a vote of thanks was awarded to the management of Mr . Brooks , of the North Pole , for the excellent manner in which he had supplied the board , and the brethren separated in perfect harmony .

companions . A sumptuous supper followed , which was well attended , and a series of toasts were observed ; some very excellent speeches being made , the M . E . Z . being congratulated on his entrance into office being marked by so large an influx of candidates . ————
GUERNSEY . —Loyalty Chapter ( No . 243 ) . — An emergency meeting of this chapter was held at the Masonic Temple , Le Marchant-street , on the 28 th ult . Present : M . E . Comps . J . and others . The chapter havingjbeen opened by the three Principals , the rest of the companions were duly admitted . Bros . Macgregor and Nicolle , of Mariners Lodge , were balloted for and accepted , and were duly received , obligated , and exalted as Royal Arch Masons , the impressive ceremony being ably conducted by Comp . Stickland , P . Z ., who also gave the symbolical lecture with great empressement . The mystical lecture was given by Comp . Bichard , P . Z ., and
the historical lecture by Comp . Quick . The companions afterwards retired to the banquetingroom below , where the usual pleasant supper was spread , and the visitors were cordially welcomed . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured , and the brethren separated at a reasonable hour , loath to part , and hoping to meet soon again . This chapter is prospering greatly just now , and is likely to continue to do so , all the officers doing their work well and acting most harmoniously together , as Masons should .
WOOLSTON . —Ancasta Chapter ( No . 1461 ) . — A meeting of this chapter was held on Wednesday , the 29 th ult ., at the Masonic Hall , Bro . Bowyer , M . E . In the unavoidable absence of the W . M ., Bro . P . M . Hunter , the chair was taken by Bro . J . D . Murray , P . M ., P . G . S . B . The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and confirmed . The

The Committee of the above Institution met on Wednesday , at the Freemasons' Hall , Bro . Raynham W . Stewart in the chair . Bro . Terry , the Secretary , reported the death of three accepted male candidates for the election to-day ( Friday ) . The Warden's report was read and cheques
were signed for the ensuing quarter ' s annuities and for various current expenses . The list of attendances on the Committee for the past year was read . Bro . Clever , who had qualified as a Vice-President , retired , and Bro . Sillitoe also retired . Bro . Dilley was renominated , and the names o ' six of the brethren were given in for election to-day ( Friday ) . The annual report , which will be submitted to the meeting to-day , was also read and approved .

Bro . Baker again gave the solo of the Masonic version of " God bless the Prince of Wales . " The VICE-PRESIDENT , in giving in felicitous terms "The Health of the VV . M . of the Mother Lodge , Bro . J . VV . Harvey , " referred to the correct and perfect working of the ritual and ceremonies . This toast was enthusiastically received and duly honoured .
Bro . Kempton gave a humourous recitation , " The Half Hundred , " in first rate style , and The PRESIDENT , in reply , stated that if he was correct in his working thanks were due to Bro . Baker , from whom he had learnt his Masonry . Bro . Ford then sang " lorn Bowling . " The toast of the evening— " Bro . Baker , P . M .,
Preceptor , and Honorary Member of the Robert Burns Lodge " —was then proposed by the PRESIDENT , who , in happy phrases , referred to the invaluable services rendered by Bro . Baker to the Robert Burns Lodge , and to Masonry in general , during the last 27 years by his untiring and accurate teaching of the ritual , his kindly and brotherly help which he was at all times so ready to afford to any young
Masons ; and he said that he was quite sure that all the brethren would unite in wishing Uro . Baker might be spared for many years lo come , that he was one of the oldest Preceptors , both in the Craft and Arch , and had given his untiring and undivided attention to his teaching younger Masons . After •' Annie Laura " had been sung by Bro . Blundell ,
Bro . BAKER responded , and , in thanking the brethren for the manner in which this toast had been drank , said that as long as T . G . A . O . T . U . spared him health and strength , he should endeavour to do his best to teach those who came to him for help . He felt it no mean honour when he said that most of the Past Masters of the Robert Burns Lodge had been " his boys , " and nothing gave him greater
pleasure than to see them take the chair and its work with credit to themselves and to the lodge to which they belonged . " The Visitors" were then proposed by Bro . BAUER , and responded to by Bros . REYNOLDS , SECKER , and COLES . The next toast was that of " The Treasurer and
Secretary and Officers of the Mother Lodge , " which was duly responded to by Bros . WELCH , DEATON , and HAWKINS . After numerous songs and recitations , a vote of thanks was awarded to the management of Mr . Brooks , of the North Pole , for the excellent manner in which he had supplied the board , and the brethren separated in perfect harmony .
