his opinion expressed at Grand Lodge the previous evening , that the utmost loyalty and attachment to their noble chief was possessed by and animated every brother in his lordship ' s province . He further congratulated Bro . Sir James Sawyer in being elevated to the dignified position of Worshipful Master of the lodge , and assured him he should have every assistance he could render as the D . P . G . M . of the province .
The toast of " The Worshipful Master " was proposed by Bro . J . A . Dexter , the newly-appminted Senior Warden , and a Past Provincial Grand Officer , in very appropriate and eloquent terms , and in response the newly-installed W . M ., in his usual eloquent , graceful , and courtly manner assured the brethren that he would do anything and everything in his power to promote the happiness and prosperity of the Charity Mark Masters Lodge .
Bro . Thomas Rowbotham , P . M ., in responding to the toast of " The Past Masters and Officers , " reminded the brethren of the near approach of the annual Festival of the Mark Benevolent Fund , and cordiaily invited them all to accompany him thereto as Stewards , and heartily recommended the Charity as one of the best and most valuable Institutions of the present or any previous age .
The toasts were interspersed with songs , and an exc -Hent selection of music by the Organist of the lodge , Bro . R . O . Wills , P . G . Org ., and included a very brilliantly executed duet upon the pianoforte hy himself and Bro . Walter Waters , P . M ., who isalso a Past Piovincial Grand Organist ofthe Craft . CONSECRATION OP TIIK SENTINEL CONCLAVE , No . 22 , AT JOHANNESBURG , TRANSVAAL . The first meeting of the above conclave was held on Monday , May 7 th , being the day appointed under the charter for that purpose , when the following order of proceedings was observed : The conclave was opened in the First Degree , when
there were present Bros . John Edward Green , P . G . Councillor ; George Richards , G . C . ; Charles Aburrow , G . Std . ; Joseph Waldie Peirsjn , and VVm . Benjamin Boyes . Bro . RICHARDS , G . Councillor , read the warrant from Grand Conclave , and put the usual questions to the Supreme Ruler designate , and administered the O . B . to
him . The S UPREME R ULER assumed the chair , and announced the appointments made in the charter of Counsellor and Guide , and appointed Bros . Peirson and Boyes as Visiting Ds . The conclave was opened in the Second Degree , and the SUPRUME RULER having stated that he had privately
subscribed to the O . B . of a Supreme Ruler , according to the form prescribed , appointed the officers in this Degree . The S UPREME RULER having received the charter , and placed it in its proper position , declared the conclave to be duly consecrated , constituted , and dedicated , and the Supreme Ruler installed .

Jewish Cosmogony and Theogpny , which charmed the minds of such great men as Leibritz , Spinoza , Lord Bacon , Dr . Flood , and Picus de Mirandola . The paper was hi ghly illustrated , and created considerable interest , and will be published in the transactions oi the college . Fratres Clark and Hunter were thanked for their
highly interesting piper . Thereafter , the SUPREME M IGUS announced that he had appointed Frater Clark Chizi Adept of the
Province . This concluded the business , and the fratres adjourned to the Junior Conservative Club , and dined together , when an ample toast list was submitted , the SUPREME MAGUS replying for " The Society of Rosicrucians in Scotland and the High Council . CONSECRATION OP TIIK SENTINEL CONCLAVE , No . 22 , AT JOHANNESBURG , TRANSVAAL . The first meeting of the above conclave was held on Monday , May 7 th , being the day appointed under the charter for that purpose , when the following order of proceedings was observed : The conclave was opened in the First Degree , when
there were present Bros . John Edward Green , P . G . Councillor ; George Richards , G . C . ; Charles Aburrow , G . Std . ; Joseph Waldie Peirsjn , and VVm . Benjamin Boyes . Bro . RICHARDS , G . Councillor , read the warrant from Grand Conclave , and put the usual questions to the Supreme Ruler designate , and administered the O . B . to
him . The S UPREME R ULER assumed the chair , and announced the appointments made in the charter of Counsellor and Guide , and appointed Bros . Peirson and Boyes as Visiting Ds . The conclave was opened in the Second Degree , and the SUPRUME RULER having stated that he had privately
subscribed to the O . B . of a Supreme Ruler , according to the form prescribed , appointed the officers in this Degree . The S UPREME RULER having received the charter , and placed it in its proper position , declared the conclave to be duly consecrated , constituted , and dedicated , and the Supreme Ruler installed .

The college was opened in accordance with the form prescribed by the Society , after which the minutes of the last convocation were read and adopted . occupancy of the chair of Christian Rosenkruez . Frater CLARK having suitably replied , read a joint paper , b y Frater Hunter and himself , on the " Mirror of Wisdom , " treating of the Ten Sephiroth , elucidating their connection with the metals and angels , the different heavens ol the Kabbalists , and the three mother letters ; all explaining the mystical scheme of
Jewish Cosmogony and Theogpny , which charmed the minds of such great men as Leibritz , Spinoza , Lord Bacon , Dr . Flood , and Picus de Mirandola . The paper was hi ghly illustrated , and created considerable interest , and will be published in the transactions oi the college . Fratres Clark and Hunter were thanked for their
highly interesting piper . Thereafter , the SUPREME M IGUS announced that he had appointed Frater Clark Chizi Adept of the
Province . This concluded the business , and the fratres adjourned to the Junior Conservative Club , and dined together , when an ample toast list was submitted , the SUPREME MAGUS replying for " The Society of Rosicrucians in Scotland and the High Council . " Other toasts were replied to by Fratres BKOW . V , HUNTER , CLARK , and RICHARDS .

Benson entertained at Lambeth Palace on VVednesday the stewards of the recent festival of the Sons of Clergy , dinner being preceded by the customary service in the Palace chapel .
