McKinley . One of the latest of our attractions is the Japanese Village near Albert Gate , Hyde Park , now open to the public between the hours of 11 a . m . and 10 p . m ., the price of admission being one shilling each . of the birth of their eldest son , Prince Albert Victor , who attained his majority that very day . It rarely falls to the lot of one man to propose three successive resolutions of a similar character relating to the three chief incidents in the married career of one and the same illustrious couple , and Bro . Sir F . Truscott must have justly taken to himself no small amount of satisfaction that such a series of graceful duiies had fallen to his charge .

We havc received a copy of a neatly-prepared diary and almanack from the old-established Accident Insurance Company , formerly of 7 , Bank-buildings , now of 10 , St . Swithin's-lane . Ample spaces are left for engagements to be entered , which is not always the case in official or trade publications of the kind . There are some capital illustrations in it bearing on the accidents by flood and

field , as well as others of ordinary everyday occurrence . 1 hey are accompanied by amusing Shakespearian quotations , which are very applicable . For example , the leading illustration of a harmless , middle-aged gentleman being laid hold of by a fierce bull-terrier , is supported by a particularly apt quotation from Richard III : " I pray

That I may live , and say the dog is dead . " As the diary appears to be printed for free issue , it is worth while sending to the office in London for one . —City Press . We notice elsewhere that the first of the addresses agreed to at the Special Court of Common Council on Thursday , the Sth inst ., was moved by Bro . Alderman Sir F . VV . Truscott , P . G . J . W . In the course of his remarks when moving the address , our distinguished brother drew attention to the fact that he had moved a similar address at the Common Council on the occasion of the marriage of the Prince and Princess , and also on that

of the birth of their eldest son , Prince Albert Victor , who attained his majority that very day .
