¦ After the ceremony of installation and other Masonic business was concluded , the lodge wss closed , and the brethren sat down to a banquet , at which the usual Masonic toasts were duly honoured . In proposing " The Health of the Installing Master , " Bro . Lux , P . M ., P . P . G . Org ., alluded to the fact that Bro . Hill Drury had now installed six successive Masters . The Tyler ' s toast brought the interesting proceedings to a close .

Previously , however , a very excellent photographic group of the members of the lodge was taken by Bro . Sage , one of its initiates . The VV . M ., P . G . Sec , presided . The lodge having been opened , and the minutes confirmed , Bro . Wm . Reed was advanced to the Honourable Degree of M . M . Bro . J .

With other general business and " Hearty good wishes " the lodge was closed , and the brethren subsequently partook of refreshments .

The following were also present : Bros . H . Court , G . Stevenson , and j . C . Mason , P . M ., P . P . G . D . C . This is the senior Mark lodge in the province , and was warranted about 30 years ago , and possesses many valuable relics . Amongst the many there is one worthy of special mention and interest to Mark Masters , viz ., the Masons ' marks that were sketched from the stone work of the

Cathedral and Abbey buildings , and arranged by VV . T . Creed , Esq ., during the restoration of the refectory , and other works in the Abbey—1 SS 0-1 . These marks are from the eleventh to the fifteenth centuries , and are framed in wood taken from the roof of the refectory , which timber was placed there in the time of Prior Condifour . Through the kindness of Bro . J . C . Mason , the marks have also been photographed , and any brother that desires a copy can have it .

'The Prince of Wales , as Honorary Colonel of the 3 rd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall ' s Light Infantry ( the Royal Cornwall Rangers Militia ) , has presented Lieut .-Col . the Hon . Charles Elliotand the officersof the battalion with an engraving of himself , which will hang on the walls of the men ' s quarters at Bodmin .

Bro . and the Baroness Burdett-Coutts entertained Mr . IT . M . Stanley at dinner at their residence in Stratton-strect , Piccadilly , on Saturday last , the officers of the Expedition and the members of the Emin . Relief Committee , of which Bro . Burdett-Ccutts is one , being also present . A reception [ n Mr . Stanley ' s honour followed the dinner .

This is the senior Mark lodge in the province , and was warranted about 30 years ago , and possesses many valuable relics . Amongst the many there is one worthy of special mention and interest to Mark Masters , viz ., the Masons ' marks that were sketched from the stone work of the

Cathedral and Abbey buildings , and arranged by VV . T . Creed , Esq ., during the restoration of the refectory , and other works in the Abbey—1 SS 0-1 . These marks are from the eleventh to the fifteenth centuries , and are framed in wood taken from the roof of the refectory , which timber was placed there in the time of Prior Condifour . Through the kindness of Bro . J . C . Mason , the marks have also been photographed , and any brother that desires a copy can have it .

'The Prince of Wales , as Honorary Colonel of the 3 rd Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall ' s Light Infantry ( the Royal Cornwall Rangers Militia ) , has presented Lieut .-Col . the Hon . Charles Elliotand the officersof the battalion with an engraving of himself , which will hang on the walls of the men ' s quarters at Bodmin .

Bro . and the Baroness Burdett-Coutts entertained Mr . IT . M . Stanley at dinner at their residence in Stratton-strect , Piccadilly , on Saturday last , the officers of the Expedition and the members of the Emin . Relief Committee , of which Bro . Burdett-Ccutts is one , being also present . A reception [ n Mr . Stanley ' s honour followed the dinner .
