Unity Chapter , No . 1151 . INSTALLATION OF COMP . F . J . DAVISON . The installation meeting of this chapter took place on Wednesday , the 7 th instant , at the Masonic Hall , Ty wardreath , Cornwall , when there was a very large gathering of members and visiting companions . This chapter a few years ago was in a moribund condition , but since then it has made rapid strides , and is now in a very prosperous state .

After the minutes of the previous meeting had been read and confirmed , the chair of M . E . Z . was , at the request of the First Principal , taken by Comp . Major J . G . Shanks , K . M ., P . Z . and Scribe E ., who than proceeded to that most important function the installation of the Principals for the ensuing year , and they , having been presented in rotation , were duly installed into their respective chairs , the beautiful ritual being rendered in such an impressive manner as to give great pleasure to all present . The following are the officers of the chapter for the ensuing year : Comps . F . J . Davison ,

M . E . Z . ; R . H . Denison , H . ; W . Symons , J . ; W . J . Samble , I . P . Z . ; Major Shanks , Scribe E . and Treas . ; J . Wellington , Scribe N . ; F . A . Searle , P . S . ; G . W . White , 1 st A . S . ; J . Retallick , 2 nd A . S . ; and G . Trembeth , Janitor . Comp . Shanks then , by desire of the new First Principal , undertook the exaltation of two candidates to the Royal Arch Degree , performing the ceremony most ably , and receiving a cordial vote of thanks for the admirable manner in which he had done the whole of the work of the meeting .

Unity Chapter is to be congratulated on its present position , which is owing more to the quality than to the quantity of its membership , and upon having on its roll so zealous and capable a companion as its present Scribe E ., who has done yeoman ' s service for the chapter since he became a member . A very noticeable and agreeable feature of the meeting was the fact that the Principal Sojourner and his senior Assistant —though very young Royal Arch Masons—were perfectly acquainted with their very interesting work , and performed it admirably .
