Masonic Notes .

We arc pleased to hear that the Board of Stewards for the Festival which will be held on the 22 nd February , 1893 , in behalf of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution , has been strengthened since we drew attention to the subject . The names of some 25 brethren have been handed to the Secretary within the

past two or three weeks , and it is quite on the cards that before the year has run its course , the Board will muster fully 100 brethren . This , of course , would be but a poor show under ordinary circumstances within about two months of the day fixed for the celebration , but after such a Jubilee as that held in February , our

readers must be prepared fora very great falling off , and the Institution will be in a position to think itself lucky if it scores a total which will make good the difference between the year ' s permanent income and the year ' s expenditure . * * *

It is an excellent plan which the Province of Durham has adopted during the past few years of publishing in pamphlet form the annual proceedings of its Provincial Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Chapter . The

We arc pleased to hear that the Board of Stewards for the Festival which will be held on the 22 nd February , 1893 , in behalf of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution , has been strengthened since we drew attention to the subject . The names of some 25 brethren have been handed to the Secretary within the

past two or three weeks , and it is quite on the cards that before the year has run its course , the Board will muster fully 100 brethren . This , of course , would be but a poor show under ordinary circumstances within about two months of the day fixed for the celebration , but after such a Jubilee as that held in February , our

readers must be prepared fora very great falling off , and the Institution will be in a position to think itself lucky if it scores a total which will make good the difference between the year ' s permanent income and the year ' s expenditure . * * *

It is an excellent plan which the Province of Durham has adopted during the past few years of publishing in pamphlet form the annual proceedings of its Provincial Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Chapter . The
