S . nowwith them , but had also been most untiring in his efforts to resuscitate the chapter when it fell in abeyance a few years ago . Bro . a Court replied in suitable terms .

Bro . Dyett proposed "The Founders of the Chapter . " He slid he had to call upon the brethren to , as it were , co nb ne two toasts in one , viz ., " the Memo ™ " and the "Health" respectively of the illustrious b-ethren whose names aopeired on the warrant . HI . Bros . Sir H . J . Burford-Hancock and Robert Hamilton , having pined the great majority , only their " memory" could be submitted , but III . Bro . Portlock-Dadson , the present Grand Secretary-General , and an old friend and comrade of the M . W . S ., being still in the land of the living , although nearly 3000 miles away , his " Health , Happiness , and Prosperity " could be proposed , an ! he was certain would bs cordially received . CLUBS OF INSTRUCTION .

Professors of the dramatic and musical arts who are members of the Misonic Craft in London , not being able to attend lodges of instruction , which , as a rule , meet late in the evenings of week days , have established for themselves In the Metropolitan area two clubs of instruction , to meet on Sunday mornings . These two clubs are named the Logic Club and the Genesius Club , the former , which is the elder of the two , meeting at the Cavendish Rooms , Mortimer-street ,

and the latter at Btdford Park , Chiswick . By means of these two clubs the working of the dramatic and musical lodges has become perfect , for the attendance of the brethren at the Logic and the Genesius is both large and regular . Further incitement to such attendance has been established by occasional visits of the one club to the other , and on Sunday last the Genesius visited the Logic , and gave an exhibition of ths working of the ceremony of ir . s . ' allatio . ! , but with the introduction of a novelty , a splendid musical accompaniment , vocal and

Before Bro . Danby delivered the addresses Bros . Frank Boor and Richard Green , tenor and baritone , sang the anthem , " Arise , shine , for thy light is come , " especially composed for the Genesius Club , and this occasion by Bro . Edward Jones . When the addresses had been delivered Bro . ROBERT MANUEL moved a vote of thanks to the Genesius Club . They had all listened with delight to the beautiful rendering of the ceremony of installation . If that had been the only treat in store for them they would have been

heartily delighted ; but a beautiful musical ceremony had been organised in addition , and he thought it might be well for the Logic Club to see if they could not appoint a Committee similar to the Musical Committee of the Genesius Club . The interchange of visits of the two clubs was no novelty , as there had been a visit of the Logic to the Genesius . This morning there had been an excellent attendance , and there were no less than 34 P . Ms , on the Board of Installed Masters . He thought all the brethren must have been stimulated in their desire to learn the work . He believed these visits were of an immense amount of service to both .

Bro . J . P . FITZGERALD , P . M ., Sec , seconded . That had been a most glorious meeting , and the presence of so many brethren who had passed the chair showed t ^ at their interest in Freemasonry did not cease after they had served the oHice of Master , as some people said was the case with Worshipful Misters . The Logic Club were pleased to entertain the Genesius Club , and he hoped the visits would be more frequent .

Bro . HARRY NICHOLLS acknowledged tne compliment , although , as a member of both clubs , he did not know how to do it ; he was really thanking himself and being thanked . Bro . W . LESTOCQ proposed a vote of thanks to Bro . Danby , who had got off a sick bed to perform the ceremony . They had had in Bro . Danby's work an object lesson which he hoped they would profit by . Then as to the musical portion of the entertainment , it had been glorious , and it reflected the greatest credit on the Committee that organised it .

The motion having been seconded by Bro . J . J . THOMAS , Treasurer , and passed , Bro . DANBY returned thanks , wishing the thanks had been bestowed on some other than himself . If he had been successful he was amply repaid , and the brethren would feel that , although they had been away from home , they had been partakers of both profit and pleasure . The lodge was then closed in the Three Degrees , and the brethren partook of light refreshments .

Smi h—in act which the proposer and seennder of the vote and the other members of the lodge thought deserved recognition . After Bro . Letchworth had acknowledged the vote , which was unanimously adopted , the W . M . presented a valuable and elegant Past Mister ' s jewel to Bro . Bradley , whose few words of hearty hanks concluded the business of the evening , and the loiVje was than closed .
