John's Lodge , No . 348 , Bolton , on the 22 nd October , 187-1 , and was elected and installed W . M . in 18 S 3 . lie has also at different periods boon elected member of Antiquity , No . 110 , Bolton , Mechanics Lodge , No . 215 , Jersey , and thc Lodgo of St . John ' and St . Paul , No . 319 , Malta , and , in 1890 , had the ' honour of being appointed District S . G . Warden of Malta , and Prov . G . Deacon of East Lancashire . Ho was exalted a Royal Arch Mason in St . John ' s Chapter , No . 348 , Bolton , on the 4 th March , 1880 , and was installed M . E . Z . in December , 1888 ,

while the year following ho was appointed Prov . Asst . G . Sojourner of East Lancashire . He is also a joining member of the William Kingston Chapter , No . 407 , Malta . He has also taken other Degrees , having been installed a Knight of the Order of the Temple in the St . James of Jerusalem Preceptory , No . 33 , Bolton , aud perfected Rose Croix in tlio A . and A . Bite . Lastly , he is a Vice-Patron of our three Institutions and has served as Steward six times each for tho Girls' and Benevolent Institutions and half a dozen times for the Boys' School .

Bro . JOHN WIIM-MUD has had nearly 30 years' experience of Freemasonry , having been initiated in the West bourne Lodge , No . 733 , on tho loth September , 1870 . Having risen tin ough the different ollices , ho was at length , in 1880 , elected and installed its W . Master , and since then , we believe , has continued to render it sniportant service in ihe capacity of Treasurer . He has also enrolled

himself as a member of three oilier lodges , one of which—the Bradstow , No . 24-18 , Broadstairs—is in tho Province of Kent , whilo tho others—the Fellowship , No . 2535 , and the Eyre Lodge , No . 2712—aro located iu the Metropolis . He was exalted as a Boyal Arch Mason in the Westbourne Chapter , No . 733 , and installed

Ls First Principal Z . in January , 1881 . ln respect of our Institutions ho has done good service . Ho lias served two Stewardships for tho Benevolent Institution , nnd qualified as Vice-Patron ; is a Vice-Patron , with one Stewardship , of the Girls' School ; and a Life Governor , with two Stewardships , of the Boys ' School .

member of the Pelham Lodge , No . 1303 , Lewes , in 1888 , and was installed W . M . tho following year , while in 1893 , when he had boon for tlio second timo chosen to preside over the Pelham Lodge , be became founder and Iirst S . W . of the Loxlield Lodge , No . 2450 , Uckiiehl , and in 1891 its W . M . In 1891 , his services wero recognised by his appointment as Prov . J . G . W . Sussex . He was installed a Royal Arch Mason in tho South Saxon Chapter , No . 311 , on tho 27 th January , 1880 . In

Prov . Priory of Sussex ; and in the Ancient and Accepted [ Rite , Past M . W . S . of the Eureka ' Rose Croix Chaplor , No . 13 , Brighton . Finally , he has served five Stewardships for our Institutions , namely , two I ' or the Boys' School , two for the Girls' School , and one for the Benevolent Institution , is a Vice-President of the Girls' School and a Life-Governor of the Boys' and Benevolent Institutions .
