claims which thoso Institutions have upon the support ol the lodges and chapters and brethren generally throtigouht Devonshire . There is little doubt that tho longer Bro . Westlake retains this ollice , the moro fully alive to its duties and responsibilities towards these Central Institutions will tho strong and influential Province of Devonshire become . George , No . 333 , Glasgow , on tho 13 th May , 1808 , but it is not till more than a quarter of a century later that wo meet with him iu the English Craft , and then we lind him as one of tho founders nml first S . W . of the Empress Lodge , No . 2581 , which was constituted iu 1895 , and of which in December , 1890 , ho was installed W , M . On tho

23 rd October , in the same year , he was exalted in Eccentric Chapter , No . 2188 .
