PLUMSTEAD . —Pattison Lodge ( No . 913 ) . — The popular reign of Bro . C . Lawson , as W . The lodge was opened by Bro . Lawson , and

the minutes of the previous meeting were confirmed . The ballot was then taken for Messrs . William Howell Lewis and James Graham Tucker , and proving unanimous , they were duly installed . Bros . M . of the Province of Kent , " was received with cheers

and a real Kentish fire ; the next was that of "Bro . Eastes , D . P . G . M ., and the rest of the P . G . Officers , Present and Past , " and in response Bro . Penfold said he was glad to respond because it gave him an opportunity of informing the brethren that , in all probability , before their next meeting the corner-stone of their new temple would be laid ; it was an event they were

all looking forward to with pleasurable anticipations , especially as their excellent and distinguished Prov . Grand Master had consented to perform the ceremony . Their VV . M . had spoken of being struck with the business habits of their Prov . Grand Master , and shortly the brethren would have an opportunity of seeing for themselves what a lover of Masonry his lordship was ; while he was quite sure his lordship would be pleased to see such a gathering of the

Masons of the Woolwich and Plumstead districts . Their D . P . G . M ., Bro . Eastes , would also be present ; hewas equally beloved with their Prov . Grand Master , for he was a just man , and therefore esteemed much by every Mason in the Province of Kent . Bro . VVarne had also promised to attend and act as D . and a real Kentish fire ; the next was that of "Bro .

C , and as that brother knew his work there was no tear of a failure , so far as the ceremony was concerned , for he was coming down to see the place and make his arrangements before hand . P . G .
