A collection was afterwards made on behalf of the Masonic Charities , and realised the sum of £ 16 2 s . id . lt is intended to send a portion , if not the whole , of this to the Girls' School , and it is conlidently expected lhat the Egerton Lodge , which was only cor . seccated in October last , and which now numbers between 20 and 30

brethren , will , before the end of its first year of existence , more than realise the expectations of its founders . The members of that lodge are deeply grateful to all who assisted them on ihe occasion . Many brethren came from long distances to give a helping hand , and special thanks

are due to the Rev . Vicar of Swinton , who , in the kindest manner , did all he could to make everything pass off successfully , to the choir , ringers , and church officers for their kindly services , and to the Rev . and Hon . preacher , whose eloquent words will long be remembered by those who had the privilege cf hearing them .

are due to the Rev . Vicar of Swinton , who , in the kindest manner , did all he could to make everything pass off successfully , to the choir , ringers , and church officers for their kindly services , and to the Rev . and Hon . preacher , whose eloquent words will long be remembered by those who had the privilege cf hearing them .
