MERCHANT NAVY LODGE ( No . 781 ) . — On Wednesday , the 16 th inst ., the brethren of this lodge were participants of an intellectual Masonic banquet . Among those present were Bros . F . P . M . ; Money , P . M . ; and many others . Lodge being opened in the Three Degrees , Bro . Pringle , Preceptor , in his highly impressive and lucid manner , gave the Lecture on the third tracing board , and then proceeded to give an exposition of the Masonic alphabet , illustrated by diagrams . Bro . Pringle ' s graphic and precise mode of

explaining to the brethren a matter which is , perhaps , but imperfectly understood among large numbers of the Craft , did not fail to add to the respect in which he is held among Past Masters and other well-instructed brethren who from time to time submit themselves to his guidance . On Wednesday , the 30 th inst ., Bro . Oxley , W . M . 1306 , will work the installation ceremony .
