Became a Knight Templar in 1 S 56 . He suffered

a considerable lime from disease of thc throat , rendering it necessary for him , thirteen years ago , to undergo an operation ; ihe result of which and old age unfits him lo contribute anything towards his own support . He is entirely dependent on thc small sum he receives from three Lodges and one Chapter as their Tyler . He was formerly in good circumstances , having been a Foreman in a Boot and Shoemakers' AVarehouse , in Canada .
