PLUMSTEAD . —United Military Lodge ( No . (> S 36 ) . —The election meeting of the above lodge took place on Friday , the 12 th inst ., at the Lord Raglan Hetel , Burrage-road , Bro . G . Kenneday , I . P . M ., in the unavoidable absence of Bro . A . G . Saunders , presiding . There was a goodly array of Past Masters , officers , visitors , and brethren present . Bro . Clayton was passed , and the byelaws , as revised in Committee , were accepted . Bro . W .

Mould , S . W ., was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing year , and Bro . Gee was re-elected Treasurer . It was unanimously decided that in recognition of Bro . Kenneday ' s services as acting Master during the past year the sum of five guineas should be voted him for the purpose of qualifying him as a Life Subscriber for one of the Charities , and that brother returned thanks . A social gathering , during which the usual loyal , Grand , and provincial toasts were honoured , closed the proceedings .

YORK — Eboracum Lodge ( No . 1611 ) . —The regular monthly meeting of this lodge took place on the Sth inst ., at the Eboracum Masonic Hall , St . Saviourgate . There was a large muster of the brethren , and the appearance of the Hall was improved by the addition of new seats in the dais of massive mahogany , upholstered in crimson plush . The lodge was opened by the I . P . M ., Bro . J . Blenkin , who apologised for the absence of Bro . Sir F .

Milner , Bart ., M . P ., the W . M ., who was compelled to attend to his parliamentary duties in London . After the confirmation of the minutes , successful ballots were taken for Bros . J . W . Woodall , Grand Treasurer of England , as an honorary member ; R . Wigglesworth , 1991 , as a joining member , and for a candidate . The chair was then taken by Bro . T . B . VVhytehead , P . M ., who proceeded to initiate a son of the I . P . M ., who received the charge from Bro .

Wm . Brown , the J . W . The I . P . M . having resumed the chair then raised Bro . Dodson to the Degree of a Master Mason . Subsequently several presentations were made , including two framed pictures from Bro . J . S . Cumberland , P . M . ; several books from Bro . T . B . Whytehead , P . Bro . Ware . It was also resolved that the * reading and smoke rooms should be open for the | use of members on every Friday evening from 8 to 11 . Votes of thanks were passed to the donors , and also to the Agricola Lodge for their fraternal courtesy in offering the use of their room during the removal of the Eboracum Lodge from the Queen ' s Hotel to its new premises . The concluding addresses of the ceremony , as delivered by , Bro . Lavies , must be heard to be appreciated . An excellent banquet was provided by the Hotel Company , under the direction of Mr . Bentley , the new manager , and the music afterwards , both vocal and instrumental , was of the very highest order .

DOMATIC LODGE ( No . 17 J ) . —This lodge met at the Snrrcv Masonic Hall , Camberwell New-road , S . E ., on TucsJav , the gtli inst ., at the newly appointed time , S o ' clock , instead ' ot 7 . 30 as formerly with a good muster of brethren . Present : Bros 'I ' . Rowland , W . lodge meeting were read and confirmed . The lodge was opened in the Second and Third Degrees . This being the second Tuesday in the month , the ceremony of passing was rehearsed in a most able manner by Ilro . Rowland , who also gave the charge . The lodge called off and on , after which the 4 th Section of the Second Lecture was admirably worked . Bro . Rowland gave the use of the orders perfectly , and drew from the brethren expressions of pleasure . The lodge resumed to the Third Degree , and closed down . A vote of thanks was proposed to Bro . Rowland for the very able renderineof

the 4 th Section of the Second Lecture , and ordered to be entered on the minutes of the lodge . This was done after several very able speeches of the brethren on the progress of the lodge . The lodge was closed , the brethren highly delighted with an evening of good work . On Tuesday , the 23 rd inst ., it is intended to work the live Sections of the Second Lecture . On Tuesday , the 30 th inst ., the installation ceremony will ( D . V . ) be rehearsed , and the officers will be pleased to see any of the brethren who can , or wish to attend on either or both of these evenings .

PLUMSTEAD . —United Military Lodge ( No . (> S 36 ) . —The election meeting of the above lodge took place on Friday , the 12 th inst ., at the Lord Raglan Hetel , Burrage-road , Bro . G . Kenneday , I . P . M ., in the unavoidable absence of Bro . A . G . Saunders , presiding . There was a goodly array of Past Masters , officers , visitors , and brethren present . Bro . Clayton was passed , and the byelaws , as revised in Committee , were accepted . Bro . W .

Mould , S . W ., was unanimously elected W . M . for the ensuing year , and Bro . Gee was re-elected Treasurer . It was unanimously decided that in recognition of Bro . Kenneday ' s services as acting Master during the past year the sum of five guineas should be voted him for the purpose of qualifying him as a Life Subscriber for one of the Charities , and that brother returned thanks . A social gathering , during which the usual loyal , Grand , and provincial toasts were honoured , closed the proceedings .

YORK — Eboracum Lodge ( No . 1611 ) . —The regular monthly meeting of this lodge took place on the Sth inst ., at the Eboracum Masonic Hall , St . Saviourgate . There was a large muster of the brethren , and the appearance of the Hall was improved by the addition of new seats in the dais of massive mahogany , upholstered in crimson plush . The lodge was opened by the I . P . M ., Bro . J . Blenkin , who apologised for the absence of Bro . Sir F .

Milner , Bart ., M . P ., the W . M ., who was compelled to attend to his parliamentary duties in London . After the confirmation of the minutes , successful ballots were taken for Bros . J . W . Woodall , Grand Treasurer of England , as an honorary member ; R . Wigglesworth , 1991 , as a joining member , and for a candidate . The chair was then taken by Bro . T . B . VVhytehead , P . M ., who proceeded to initiate a son of the I . P . M ., who received the charge from Bro .

DOMATIC LODGE ( No . 17 J ) . —This lodge met at the Snrrcv Masonic Hall , Camberwell New-road , S . E ., on TucsJav , the gtli inst ., at the newly appointed time , S o ' clock , instead ' ot 7 . 30 as formerly with a good muster of brethren . Present : Bros 'I ' . Rowland , W . M ., in the place of lira . Rush ; C . C . Crouch , S \ V H . Buckeridgc , J . W . ; | . Hill , Preceptor ; W . H . Boys , P . M . 1658 S . I ) , j Peet J . D . ; H . Cohen , l . G . ; J . 1 ) . Smith , W . M . i 6 tf ; and others . The lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the last

lodge meeting were read and confirmed . The lodge was opened in the Second and Third Degrees . This being the second Tuesday in the month , the ceremony of passing was rehearsed in a most able manner by Ilro . Rowland , who also gave the charge . The lodge called off and on , after which the 4 th Section of the Second Lecture was admirably worked . Bro . Rowland gave the use of the orders perfectly , and drew from the brethren expressions of pleasure . The lodge resumed to the Third Degree , and closed down . A vote of thanks was proposed to Bro . Rowland for the very able renderineof

the 4 th Section of the Second Lecture , and ordered to be entered on the minutes of the lodge . This was done after several very able speeches of the brethren on the progress of the lodge . The lodge was closed , the brethren highly delighted with an evening of good work . On Tuesday , the 23 rd inst ., it is intended to work the live Sections of the Second Lecture . On Tuesday , the 30 th inst ., the installation ceremony will ( D . V . ) be rehearsed , and the officers will be pleased to see any of the brethren who can , or wish to attend on either or both of these evenings .

HYDE PARK LODGE ( No . 1425 ) . —A meeting was held on Monday , the 15 th inst ., at the Fountains Abbey Hotel , m , Praed . street , Paddington . Present : Bros . J . T . Mickelburgh , P . M ., W . COVENT GARDEN LODGE ( No . 1 ( 11 4 ) . —The "sual weekly meeting of this lodge of instruction was held at the Bedford Head Hotel , Maiden-lane , Covent-Garden , W . Ford worked the 1 st Section of this lecture . Lodge resumed to the Second Degree . Lodge closed in the Second Degree . On rising for the second time , Bro . J . \ V . Ford proposed that Bro . C . Ralph be the W . M . for the ensuing week ; seconded by Bro . [ . W ., carried unanimously . The W . M . elect was pleased to appoint his officers in rotation .
