Provincial Grand Chapter Of Middlesex.

The PROV . GRAND SUPERINTENDENT , in proposing "The Principals of the Stanmore Chapter , " said he vvas sure it would be received in the most enthusiastic manner . The Stanmore Chapter had not been long in existence , but it had existed long enough to make itself well known , and he could only

regret he was not present at the matting earli-r in the day . He vvas sure the province would be proud of such a chapter , and he heard that Comp . Keyser had carried out ihe work in ; i manner gralilying to all . He sincerely hoped it would maintain its position for many yours to come and had very great pleasure in submitting this toast to the notice of the companions .

Comp . C . E . KEYSER , Z . 1549 , said the members of the Stanmore Chapter felt deeply grateful for the kind remarks of the Prov . Grand Superintendent . They certainly did their best , but he did not know they deserved all the praise bestowed . They would have been exceedingly pleased if the Prov . Grand Superintendent had honoured them with his presence , but trusted that on some future occasion the Provincial Grand Chapter or Provincial Grand Lodge would again visit them , and that they would not only be pleased with the working , but would also have a fitting

reception . The Janitor's toast then closed the proceedings . During the evening Comp . J . G . Dunkley ( J . Graham ) presided at the piano and rendered some capital songs , and was assisted by Comps . Pasco and W . VV . Lee .

On the 6 th inst . Bro . the Right Hon . the Earl of Zetland , the Prov . G . Master of North and East Yorkshire , was installed by Comp . Col . Shadwell H . Clerke , Grand Scribe E . of England , as Prov . Grand Superintendent ot the Provincial Grand Chapter oi the North and East Ridings of Yorkshire , in succession to the late Comp . J . P . Bell , M . D . The ceremony took place in the Masonic Hall , Duncombe-place , York , on the invitation of the

Forder , H . j and I . Thompson , f .

At the commencement of the proceedings , the SCRIBE E . read an address of welcome to Col . Clerke in appropriate terms , which vvas warmly acknowledged , in doing which Comp . Col . CLERKE alluded to the pleasure it gave him to come to York to install the Right Hon . Lord Zetland as Superintendent of the Royal Arch Masons of this Province , and his regiet at the decease of Comp . J . P . Bell , the late Superintendent of the Province .

The minutes of the last Provincial Grand Chapter , held at the Humber Chapter , Hull , in May , 18 S 6 , vvere read and confirmed , and also a satisfactory financial statement by Comp . W . REYNOLDS , the Prov . G . Treas . A deputation of those present then presented his lordshi p for installation , and the ceremony for which the brethren had specially assembled was carried out in all its details by Comp . Col . Clerke , who vvas assisted by

Comp . J . Bordass , D . of C The organ accompaniments were given b y Comp . V . King , the Prov . Grand Organist . The Grand Superintendent then made the following appointments , viz .: Comps . J . Z ., was then proposed as 'Treasurer for the ensuing year and unanimously accepted . The Grand Superintendent then

After the appointments had been made , his Lordship expressed his thanks to Col . Clerke for the able manner in which the ceremony had been carried out , and feelingly alluded to the loss the province had sustained in the death of the late Grand Superintendent , and also dwelt at some length on the excellences of Royal Arch Freemasonry .

A banquet followed at Markers Hotel , when the Grand Superintendent presided , and was supported by Col . Clerke , the newly . appointed officers ol the Provincial Grand Chapter , and a fair numberof those who had attended the installation . 1 he usual loyal and Royal Arch toasts vvere proposed and responded to .

The Jubilee Celebration At The Albert Hall.

THE JUBILEE CELEBRATION AT THE ALBERT HALL .

We are informed that the arrangements for the great Jubilee meeting at the Royal Albert Hall , under the presidency of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales , are proceeding satisfactorily , and that the allotment of tickets on an equitable system approved by the M . W . Pro Grand Master will be made next week . A pplications from lodges , if accompanied b y remittances , are still being received and will , vve believe , be received while any seats are left . The following circular has been sent to all lodges requiring extra tickets :

Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen-street , VV . C , May , 1 SS 7 . Dear Sir and Brother , If you will remit the amount for the extra tickets you require they will be

reserved for you . An allotment , on an equitable system approved by the M . W . Pro Grand Master , will be made as soon as practicable , and it is hoped that the tickets may be sent out at the end of the month . The following directions will be printed on the tickets : —

Brethren to appear in black frock coat , white gloves , and full Masonic Craft clothing . By special dispensation of the M . W . G . M ., Prov . Grand Officers , Masters , Wardens , Past Masters , and officers of lodges are to wear the collars and jewels of their respective offices . A seat is provided for every brother to whom a ticket has been issued . Brethren are , therefore , expected to proceed quietly to the places assigned to them .

Brethren bringing coats and hats must take them into the hall and place them under their seats out of view .

Brethren are strongly recommended not to bring their clothing in boxes , as no provision can be made for their safe keeping . It is requested that remittances be made either in Cheques or Post-Office Orders made payable , to me . In answer to numerous enquiries , I may state that the whole of the money received for Tickets will be handed to the three Masonic Institutions without deduction . Yours fraternally , SHADWELL H . The demands on our space last week were such as to necessitate our holding over the list of prize-winners at the fete held at the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls in connection with the visit customaril y paid by the Festival Stewards of the year on Monday , the 9 th inst . At the commencement of the proceedings , the SCRIBE E . read an address of welcome to Col . Clerke in appropriate terms , which vvas warmly acknowledged , in doing which Comp . Col . CLERKE alluded to the pleasure it gave him to come to York to install the Right Hon . Lord Zetland as Superintendent of the Royal Arch Masons of this Province , and his regiet at the decease of Comp . J . P . Bell , the late Superintendent of the Province .

The minutes of the last Provincial Grand Chapter , held at the Humber Chapter , Hull , in May , 18 S 6 , vvere read and confirmed , and also a satisfactory financial statement by Comp . W . REYNOLDS , the Prov . G . Treas . A deputation of those present then presented his lordshi p for installation , and the ceremony for which the brethren had specially assembled was carried out in all its details by Comp . Col . Clerke , who vvas assisted by

Comp . J . Bordass , D . of C The organ accompaniments were given b y Comp . V . King , the Prov . Grand Organist . The Grand Superintendent then made the following appointments , viz .: Comps . J . After the appointments had been made , his Lordship expressed his thanks to Col . Clerke for the able manner in which the ceremony had been carried out , and feelingly alluded to the loss the province had sustained in the death of the late Grand Superintendent , and also dwelt at some length on the excellences of Royal Arch Freemasonry .

A banquet followed at Markers Hotel , when the Grand Superintendent presided , and was supported by Col . Clerke , the newly . appointed officers ol the Provincial Grand Chapter , and a fair numberof those who had attended the installation . 1 he usual loyal and Royal Arch toasts vvere proposed and responded to .

The Jubilee Celebration At The Albert Hall.

THE JUBILEE CELEBRATION AT THE ALBERT HALL .

We are informed that the arrangements for the great Jubilee meeting at the Royal Albert Hall , under the presidency of his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales , are proceeding satisfactorily , and that the allotment of tickets on an equitable system approved by the M . W . Pro Grand Master will be made next week . A pplications from lodges , if accompanied b y remittances , are still being received and will , vve believe , be received while any seats are left . The following circular has been sent to all lodges requiring extra tickets :

Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen-street , VV . C , May , 1 SS 7 . Dear Sir and Brother , If you will remit the amount for the extra tickets you require they will be

reserved for you . An allotment , on an equitable system approved by the M . W . Pro Grand Master , will be made as soon as practicable , and it is hoped that the tickets may be sent out at the end of the month . The following directions will be printed on the tickets : —

Brethren to appear in black frock coat , white gloves , and full Masonic Craft clothing . By special dispensation of the M . W . G . M ., Prov . Grand Officers , Masters , Wardens , Past Masters , and officers of lodges are to wear the collars and jewels of their respective offices . A seat is provided for every brother to whom a ticket has been issued . Brethren are , therefore , expected to proceed quietly to the places assigned to them .

Brethren bringing coats and hats must take them into the hall and place them under their seats out of view .

Brethren are strongly recommended not to bring their clothing in boxes , as no provision can be made for their safe keeping . It is requested that remittances be made either in Cheques or Post-Office Orders made payable , to me .
