Plantagenet Conclave , No . 2 . An emergency meeting of this conclave was held at the Holborn Restaurant , on Wednesday , the nth inst . Present : Sir Knights Wm . Briggs , G . P ., M . P . S . ; VV . J Armitage , V . E . ; R . H . Adie , S . G . ; J . G . Mirsh , P . G . A ., H . P . t E . M . Money , P . G . P ., Recorder ; J . Briggs , Prefect ; W . G . Miller , Herald ; J . Culverwell , P . S . ; H . J . Lardner , P . G . C . ( Hon . P . S . ); and A . Hill , No . 15 , visitor .

The conclave having been opened , a ballot was taken for Bros . 1 . Hodgson , 2310 ; and S . Hare , 1954 , as candidates ; and also for Sir Knight F . A . Jewson , P . G O ., P . S . 122 , as a joining member , all of whom were unanimously electcl . Bros . H . Tipper ( previously elected ) , and S . H . Hire , being present , were duly installed as knights of the Order , the ceremony being ably performed by the M . P . S ., and the lecture of the Degree impressively rendered by the Viceroy . The conclave was then closed , and the majority of the sir knights dined together .

TUB DUKK OF YORK dined on Wednesday evening with the officers of the Royal Naval College at their mess at Greenwich . Sir Charles Cust was in attendance . HHR MAJ KSTY has graciously intimated to the East Cowes District Council her willingness to onen the new load which has been constructed by her Majesty between the town and Whippingham . IN CONSEOUENCE of the Marquis of Salisbury ' s residence in Arlington-street being at present in process of redecoration , the Prime Minister will give his official

dinner to-morrow ( Saturday ) evening—the Queen ' s birthday—at the Hotel Cecil . Among his lordship ' s guests will be H . R . H . the Prince of Wiles . A reception will afterwards be held at the Foreign Office , at which th : Djk ; and Djche s of Comiught , the Duke and Duchess of York , the Duke of Cambridge , and other members of the Roval Family will be present , and the guests are to be received ( in the alosenc * of Luly Salisbury ) by Viscountess Cranborne , thc Countess of Selborne , and Lady Gwendolen Cecil .

His HIGHNESS Piince Nicholas of Montenegro airived at Charing Cross on Saturday evening last by special train from Dover , and met with a brilliant reception . He was attended by Captain Radovich and Captain Cerovitch ( Aides-de-Camp ) , and aueimpanied by Sir Robert Kennedy , he-r Majesty's Minister at Ctttinje ; General Sir Charles Du Plat , or . e of her Majesty ' s Equerries ( who met his Highness at Dover ) , and Mr . Raikes , of the Foreign Oflice . The Duke of York , who wore a naval uniform , attended by Sir Charles Cust , R . N ., drove to Charing Cross to meet the Prim- ; , and a

guard of honour , composed of 100 men from the Grenadier Guirds , was drawn up in front of the principal entrance . On his Highness alighting he was cordially received by Ihe Duke of York , who conducted him along the line of the Grenadier Guards , and subsequently introduced him to Captain Alfi rd , in command . The Royal party , escorted by equerrics-in-wailing , and a detachment of the ist Life Guaids , drove in the Oueen ' s carriages to Buckingham Palace , and were saluted by the guard of honour wliTch was mounted at the station . I'he Prince who is of fiie physical proportions and of dignified mien , was then escorted down the lines by the Duke of Connaught , his Highness saluting the colours as he passed . The Oueen , accompanied by the Duchess of Connaught , Piincess Henry of Battenberg , Princess Henry of Prussia , and attended by the Duchess of Roxburghe ( l . ady-in-Waiting ) , received his Highness at the head of the stairs of the Sovereign ' s entrance , Ire Gentlemen of the Royal Household being in attendance in the hall .

Jacquesscn et Fils and their noted vintage at Pieny , and exhibiting successively the wine press , the cellars with wine in casks , the blending process , the shaking process , one of the bottling caves , & c . In addition , there is a list of the establishments —of Messrs . A fine orchestra of over 100 musicians is being engaged . The principal soloists will be Miss Esther Palliser , Mdlle . Girrlia Ravcgli , Mr . Herbert Grover , Mr . Andrew Black , and Mr . H . | . will preside at the organ . Several novelties are in preparation during the forthcoming season , and on Whit Monday a trial experiment with a navigable balloon will be tried under the direction of Mr . Augusta Gaudron . Weather permitting , he believes confidently , from minor experiments whieh have already been made , that he will be able to steer the balloon round the district and bring it back to the grounds again . A huge programme of other out-door attractions is also in preparation for Whit Mondiy .
