The usual loyal toast of "The Oueen and Mark Masonry" having been honoured , it was followed by that of "The M . W . G . M ., H . R . H . the Prince of Wales / ' and

then that of " The R . W . Pro G . M ., the Marquis of Hertford , " both of which were received most enthusiastically . Bro . Coupland ' s name was coupled with that of " 'The R . W . Deputy G . ( No , nu . ) Well , he was very much obliged

to the brethren for their good wishes . With respect to the Grand Officers , they were matured Masons , who had done good work for Masonry in general , and the Mark in particular , and so they ought to be . They were proud of such good brethren , and he was proud to have his name associated with so important a toast . He then proposed the toast of " 'The R . W . Prov . CM ., Iiro . the Rev . Thos .

restore Bro . Robinson to health and strength , it was with a sad heart he proposed the toast . Bro . Sweny , in responding for "The D . P . G . M ., Bro . the Rev . H . Cummings , M . A ., P . G . Chap . England , and the rest of the Prov . Grand Officers , Present and Past , " said that in the Province of Kent they were good Mas'nsand charitable Masons , and were lead by two excellent examples

of what Masons were in Bros . Robinson and Cummings . With respect to the Past Masters they might look around and congratulate the lodge on the honours offered it in the persons of the Past Masters . He had visited other lodges and in other places , and had seen some curious work done , and after seeing Bro . Nichols do his work that day he could safely say that in him they had a good example ofthe Present and Past Provincial Grand Officers of the Province

of Kent . Bro . Morris , I . P . M ., then proposed the toast of "The W . M ., " and , in the course of an eloquent speech , spoke highly of Bro . Taylor ' s abilities as a Mason and genial character as a man , and prophecied under his rule a pleasant and successful year for the lodge . Bro . Taylor , who was heartily cheered , said he would leave it to the brethren of the lodge to say at the end of the

next 12 months-whether the flattering remarks of Bro . Morris were correct or not . He trusted the Past Masters and officers would support him , and heartily thanked them for their cordial reception of the toast . Bros . Jolly and Mugliston responded for " The Visitors , " and , after "The Past Masters , " "The Advancee , " and " The Officers " had been honoured , the pleasures of the evening , which had been enhanced by some good singing and recitinrf , were brought to a close .

W . Deputy G . M ., the Earl of Euston , and the rest of the Grand Ollicers , Present and Past , " who , in reply , said lie had been a Past Grand Officer now for a considerable time , and expected that his ollice was and would be a stationary one . ( No , nu . ) Well , he was very much obliged

to the brethren for their good wishes . With respect to the Grand Officers , they were matured Masons , who had done good work for Masonry in general , and the Mark in particular , and so they ought to be . They were proud of such good brethren , and he was proud to have his name associated with so important a toast . He then proposed the toast of " 'The R . W . Prov . CM ., Iiro . the Rev . Thos .

Robinson , M . A ., saying it wa ^ rather a melancholy toast , as their esteemed I ' . G . M . was at that time lying on a bed of sicknes :.. They knew how often lie used to come amongst them , and how kind and genial lie was in all his relations with them . lie was a Mason after his ( Bro . Coupland ' s ) own heart , lie was onelthey all loved and admired , and while he trusted T . G . O . O . T . U . would toon

restore Bro .
