THE LORD MAYOR OF LONDON has ^ addressed a letter the daily press announcing that he has received a cheque for £ 25 , 000 towards the Princess of Wales's Fund for providing a dinner during Jubilee week for the outcast poor of London . This with the amount previously received will suffice for the purposes for which the Fund was being organised and the Ixrd Mayor has accordingly declared it to be closed .
