The annual Cat Show at the Crystal Palace was opened on Tuesday , there being upwards of Coo entries , divided into any number of classes , and including some very fine specimens of the feline tribe .

The Household Cavalry are to be armed with the Alartini-Aletford , in place of the Martini-Henry , and commanding officers have been directed to send in at once demands for the number they require to equip their regiments .
