M ., and Treasurer of the lodge , of a handsome testimonial to Bro . George Read , subscribed for by the brethren 0 [ the Londesborough , as a token of their appreciation of the admirable manner in which the Secretary had carried out his duties during a period of 25 years , in a lodge of which

he had not only been a leading founder , but also the main ruling spirit and guiding light , earning the full love and filial respect of every brother in this lodge , as well as in every other lodge and chapter which has the privilege of including Bro . Read as a member . The address was neatly framed in oak and antique gilt , to match a similar address presented | to Bro . Ernest Clarke Baily , 1545 , as a joining member , and he was declared duly elected . ¦ Bro . W . W . Symons was passed to the Second Degree by the W . M ., the working tools being presented and explained by Bro . Bedford , J . W ., and the charge given by Bro . Hedley , S . W . Bro . R . Crow was raised to the Sublime Degree of a M . M . by Bro . Last , Sec , the working tools being explained by

Bro . S . Robinson , and the charge in the Third Degree delivered by Bro . Hedley , S . VV . A resolution of sympathy and regret at the deathof her late Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria was passed and directed to be inscribed on _ the minutes of the lodge . Notice was given of the pioposition of two candidates for initiation at a future meeting , and apologies tendered on behalf of several absent brethren . Alter " Hearty good wishes " from the numerous visitors , the lodge was closed , and the brethren subsequently dined together .

A toast list was disposed of , which included " The King , " " Grand Lodge , " " Pro / . Grand Lodge , " the latter of which was responded to by Bro . Wm . Townsend , Prov . G . P . j "The Visitors , " proposed by the W . M ., and acknowledged by Bro . Stansfeld , VV . M . 974 , P . M . Holmes , W . M . 1545 , P . P . G . Std . Br ., and C . W . Hudson , W . M . 206 9 j and " The W . M ., " proposed by Bro . Fearnley , P . M ., who complimented the VV . M . on such a splendid meeting . In responding , Bro . John W . Bland , W . Master , thanked the brethren for the hearty manner in which the toast of his health had been received , he was delighted to have had the pleasure of

entertaining so many guests that evening , and hoped they would enjoy themselves , and would do him the honour o £ repeating the visit during hip term of office . Bro . Last , P . P . G . R ., responded for the toast of " The Past Misters of the Lodge , " and stated that it was a pleasurable duty for the Past Masters to render whatever services they could both to the W . M . and the Iodge , and that it was most gratifying to the Past Masters that theW . M . organised and so ably presided over such a successful and happy meeting as they had experienced that evening . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a very happy meeting . Songs and recitations were rendered during the evening by Bros . Townend , Holmes , Denbigh , Lindsay , Tilley , Hodgson , and Town .

Rahere Lodge , No . 2546 . An oidinary meeting of the above lodge was held at Frascati ' s Restaurant on the 12 th instant , Bro . Walter Gripper , M . B ., W . M ., in the chair . Bros . Hepburn and Bokenham were raised to the Third Degree , and Bros . Ware , Whitaker , and Beadles were passed to the Second Degree . A grant of 15 guineas was made to a professional brother in urgent distress , a donation of one guinea was given to the maintenance of "Our Brother ' s Bed " in the Home for the Dying , and a sum of 20 guineas was voted to the Royal Medical Benevolent College at Epsom , on the proposition of Bro . E . C Cripps . In consequence of the much-lamented death of her Majesty the Queen there was no banquet after the meeting , but a few members of the lodge dined together informally .

The annual installation ceremony and banquet in connection with the shove lodge took place at the Masonic Hall , Market-street , Poole , on Thursday , the H'h instant . Tizard George ; and Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge , Present and Past . " ln the course of his remarks the VV . M . alluded to the approaching visit of the Prov . Grand Lodge to Poole , and assured the officers of a cordial welcome .

Bro . H . Tizard George responded to the toast , and at the same time submitted "The W . M . of Amity Mark Masters Lodge , No . 132 , Bro . Geo . Aug . Mate . " The toast was cordially received , and responded to in a suitable speech . The other toasts were : "I . P . M ., Bro . H . Saunders , " "The Installing Master , " proposed by Bro . Geo . Parry ; "The Visiting Brethren , " proposed by Bro . J . A . Cocker , and duly responded to by Bro . E . Worth , 125 ; Bro . E . Pearce , 125 j and Bro . A . Budden , 99 . The W . M . then gave the toast of " The Wardens and Officers of Amity Mark Lodge , " which was duly responded to by several brethren .

The Prov . Grand Master of Dorset , Bro . W . E . Brymer , M . P ., wrote expressing his regret at his inability to be present on account of the opening of Parliament that day .

A resolution of sympathy and regret at the deathof her late Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria was passed and directed to be inscribed on _ the minutes of the lodge . Notice was given of the pioposition of two candidates for initiation at a future meeting , and apologies tendered on behalf of several absent brethren . Alter " Hearty good wishes " from the numerous visitors , the lodge was closed , and the brethren subsequently dined together .

M . 206 9 j and " The W . M ., " proposed by Bro . Fearnley , P . M ., who complimented the VV . M . on such a splendid meeting . In responding , Bro . John W . Bland , W . Master , thanked the brethren for the hearty manner in which the toast of his health had been received , he was delighted to have had the pleasure of

entertaining so many guests that evening , and hoped they would enjoy themselves , and would do him the honour o £ repeating the visit during hip term of office . Bro . Last , P . P . G . R ., responded for the toast of " The Past Misters of the Lodge , " and stated that it was a pleasurable duty for the Past Masters to render whatever services they could both to the W . M . and the Iodge , and that it was most gratifying to the Past Masters that theW . M . organised and so ably presided over such a successful and happy meeting as they had experienced that evening . The Tyler ' s toast concluded a very happy meeting . Songs and recitations were rendered during the evening by Bros . Townend , Holmes , Denbigh , Lindsay , Tilley , Hodgson , and Town .

Rahere Lodge , No . 2546 . An oidinary meeting of the above lodge was held at Frascati ' s Restaurant on the 12 th instant , Bro . Walter Gripper , M . B ., W . M ., in the chair . Bros . Hepburn and Bokenham were raised to the Third Degree , and Bros . Ware , Whitaker , and Beadles were passed to the Second Degree . A grant of 15 guineas was made to a professional brother in urgent distress , a donation of one guinea was given to the maintenance of "Our Brother ' s Bed " in the Home for the Dying , and a sum of 20 guineas was voted to the Royal Medical Benevolent College at Epsom , on the proposition of Bro . E . C Cripps . In consequence of the much-lamented death of her Majesty the Queen there was no banquet after the meeting , but a few members of the lodge dined together informally .

Grand Lodge to Poole , and assured the officers of a cordial welcome .

Bro . H . Tizard George responded to the toast , and at the same time submitted "The W . M . of Amity Mark Masters Lodge , No . 132 , Bro . Geo . Aug . Mate . " The toast was cordially received , and responded to in a suitable speech . The other toasts were : "I . P . M ., Bro . H . Saunders , " "The Installing Master , " proposed by Bro . Geo . Thomas seconded , " That a hearty vote of thanks be recorded on the minutes for the all but perfect manner in which Bro . Kibblewhite had for the first time discharged his duties in the chair . " This was carried unanimously , and the W . M . having replied , and there being no further business , the Iodge was closed .

THE LORINERS' COMPANY . —Bro . Alderman Sir William Treloar has fixed Wednesday , the 27 th prox ., for the Court dinner that was postponed on account of the decease of Queen Victoria . Bros , the Lord Mayor , Alderman and Sheriff Vaughan . Morgan , and Sheriff Lawrence will be present .
