V ^ ^^ zs ^ s ^^^ sss-j SUPPLEMENT TO "MASONIC RECORDS 1717-18 S 6 . " Bro . John Lane , F . C . A ., of Torquay , has issued a supplement to his noble volume— "Masonic Records 1717-18 S 6 "—which is of great interest and value . This laler publication has added considerably to the debt we owe to ,
the painstaking * and accurate author , especially when it is remembered that ihe original work was published at a financial loss to himself , and this most useful addition is presented to all the subscribers , " With the Author's Fraterna Compliments . " Copies of the "Masonic Records " may still be had from the Publisher , with the supplement included . The sheet should be inserted between pages 4 and 5 of the original work , and consists of an exact reproduction , save that the " signs " are described , of ( a ) Bowen ' s engraved list of 17 : 3-4 ( b ) the MS list in Grand Lodge of 1723-4 , & c . ( which contains a lodge held at Richmond , which is not in the

Of course , it will readily be understood that to carefully copy these Lists , preserving all their orthographical pecutiaiiues , in order lhat they may be veritable verbatim et literatim productions , involved no little labour j but when totuch exact tran . John Lane for this imaluable compilation , which makes an excellent supplement to his "Masonic Records , " a most welcome addition to our knowledge of facts relating to those old lodges , and renders the grand work itself more than ever" a monument of
