Reports Of Masonic Meetings.
The toast of "The Visiting Brethren" was given by Bro . S . Chesters-Thompson , J . P ., S . W ., in an eloquent speech . Welcoming with loving hearts and open hands all true brethren who visited them , he asked them to come to the Ardwick Lodge again and again , and not be satisfied with one visit , and the more frequently they came the more welcome they would be . For his own part he was sorry
that he had not joined the Order earlier in life . He was only a young Mason , and considered that if he had been one of them many years ago he would not have had to regret the want of years ot happiness which might have been added to his life . The visiting brethren replied in fraternal terms . The remaining toasts , " That of the Installing Master , "
& c , were given and received in a hearty manner . The musical brethren , Bros . Turner , P . M . ion ; Dunville , P . M . 2156 , P . G . S . ; Hoyland , P . HORNSEY CHAPTER ( No . 890 ) . —At the convocation held on Friday , the 16 th inst ., at the Porchester Hotel , Leinster-place , Cleveland-square , Paddington , W ., a hearty vote of thanks , to lie recorded on the minutes , and honorary membership were conferred on Comp . W . H . Dean , P . Z . 77 , 415 , P . P . G . R . Dorset , as a mark of appreciation of his valuable services as one of the Committee of Preceptors of the chapter of improvement . Comp . Dean , in thanking the companions , said he valued the compliment just paid to him immensely , more particularly as the honorary membership had
not been conferred on any single companion since the foundation of the chapter of improvement , and felt sure he would not have been so honoured if the companions had not thought he deserved it . His absence from London would be temporary ( only for a few monihs ) , and on his return he should be very pleased to take up his executive duties again with Comps . Capt . A . Nicols and Dehane , and hoped ( hey would have a pleasant and instructive evening on the 6 th April , on the occasion of Comp . Sadler giving his lecture on the R . A . banners .

He was only a young Mason , and considered that if he had been one of them many years ago he would not have had to regret the want of years ot happiness which might have been added to his life .
