M ., proposed " The Officers , " paying them a high tribute of praise for their zeal and assiduity ; he also regretted there had been no ceremony that night owing to Bro . M ., mentioned that 19 years ago on that night , neither the W . M . nor a P . M . were present , and he as S . W . ruled the lodge . The Worshipful Master then proposed "The Visitors . " Most of them had gone , but Bro . J . Cumberland , of 10 S 5 ,
being present , responded . He expressed himself as greatly pleased with the kind manner in which the W . M . had proposed the toast . He came only to see and hear , not to speak , but was pleased to be present for the second time , and felt quite as much at home as in his own lodge . Bro . J . Bland , P . M ., proposed " The Officers , " paying them a high tribute of praise for their zeal and assiduity ; he also regretted there had been no ceremony that night owing to Bro . Tempest's unavoidably late arrival .
