The annual Provincial Grand Lodge was held at the Red Lion Hotel , Cambridge , on Friday , the 16 th inst ., for the despatch of Masonic business . Bro . the Earl of Hardwicke , Prov . G . The DEPUTY PROV . GRAND MASTER having announced the indisposition of Lord Hardwicke , proceeded to open Provincial Grand Lod ge , and the minutes having been reead and confirmed , the roll of lodges was called . The present number of members in the several lod ges was reported to be as follows : Scientific , No . 88 , 77 ; Three Grand Princi ples , No . 441 , 58 ; United Good Fellowshi p , No . 809 , 43 ; Isaac Newton University , No . 859 , 130 ; Alma Mater , No . 1492 , 18 ; and Etheldreda , No . 1492 , 31 . Total , 357 , as against 342 at the same period last year .

Bro . GELDARD read the Treasurer ' s statement , which showed a balance of £ 8 17 s . 7 d . on the year . The estimated balance for next year was £ 50 . The SECRETARY read the annual Report of the Cambridgeshire Masonic Charity Association , as under :

Provincial Grand Lodge Of Cambridgeshire.

In presenting to you the Fifth Annual Report of the Province of Cambrid geshire Masonic Charity Association , the Committee feel that the Province is to be again congratulated on a very successful year as regards the election of a candidate to one of the Masonic Charities , and also upon the sums collected by the Stewards attending the Girls' Festival for the present year . At the April Election in this year for the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , Kate Lilian Boningdaughter of the late Bro . Henry Boning , of the Three Grand Princi ples

, Lodge , No . 441 , Cambridge , was placed 2 nd on the list of 12 successful candidates out of 42 applicants , with a total of 2736 votes , the highest successful candidate polling 3888 , and the lowest successful one 2014 votes . The province was represented at the Anniversary Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls by Bro . the Rt . Hon . the Earl of Hardwicke , R . W . P . G . M ., who took up with him £ 10 ios . ; by Bro . A . H . Moyes , W . D . P . G . M ., who took up vvith him

£ 147 ; by Bro . Oliver Papworth , W . M . of Scientific Lodge , No . 88 , who took up with him £ 21 ; by Bro . J . Taylor , P . M . and Treasurer of the Three Grand Principles Lod ge , No . 441 , who took up with him £ 84 ; by Bro . E . Arrnitage , W . M . of Isaac Newton University Lodge , No . 859 , who took up with him £ 89 5 s . ; and also by Bro . J . R , Green , W . M . of Alma Mater Lodge , No . 1492 , who took up with him £ 10 ios . The amount collected by Bro . A . H . Moyes includes the sum of twenty guineas given by the Provincial Grand Lodge to the Masonic Charities , and the sum of five guineas collected at the last P . G . L . banpuet . The Committee wish to express their thanks to Bros , the Rt . Hon . the Earl of Hardwicke , R . W . P . G . M . ; A . H . Moyes , W . D . P . G . M . ; Oliver Papworth , J . Taylor , E . Arrnitage , and J . R . Green , who so abl y represented this province as Stewards at the Annual Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , and to those lodges and brethren who contributed so generously to their lists .

The Committee have during the year paid off 409 Boys' votes and 996 Gins' votes out of 871 borrowed for Kate Lilian Boning , and have lent 77 Benevolent votes . The votes due from and owing to the Committee are as follows , viz .: Boys . Girls . Men . Women . Votes owing to the Committee are 441 271 33

The annual Provincial Grand Lodge was held at the Red Lion Hotel , Cambridge , on Friday , the 16 th inst ., for the despatch of Masonic business . Bro . the Earl of Hardwicke , Prov . G . The DEPUTY PROV . GRAND MASTER having announced the indisposition of Lord Hardwicke , proceeded to open Provincial Grand Lod ge , and the minutes having been reead and confirmed , the roll of lodges was called . The present number of members in the several lod ges was reported to be as follows : Scientific , No . 88 , 77 ; Three Grand Princi ples , No . 441 , 58 ; United Good Fellowshi p , No . 809 , 43 ; Isaac Newton University , No . 859 , 130 ; Alma Mater , No . 1492 , 18 ; and Etheldreda , No . 1492 , 31 . Total , 357 , as against 342 at the same period last year .

Bro . GELDARD read the Treasurer ' s statement , which showed a balance of £ 8 17 s . 7 d . on the year . The estimated balance for next year was £ 50 . The SECRETARY read the annual Report of the Cambridgeshire Masonic Charity Association , as under :

In presenting to you the Fifth Annual Report of the Province of Cambrid geshire Masonic Charity Association , the Committee feel that the Province is to be again congratulated on a very successful year as regards the election of a candidate to one of the Masonic Charities , and also upon the sums collected by the Stewards attending the Girls' Festival for the present year . At the April Election in this year for the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , Kate Lilian Boningdaughter of the late Bro . Henry Boning , of the Three Grand Princi ples

, Lodge , No . 441 , Cambridge , was placed 2 nd on the list of 12 successful candidates out of 42 applicants , with a total of 2736 votes , the highest successful candidate polling 3888 , and the lowest successful one 2014 votes . The province was represented at the Anniversary Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls by Bro . the Rt . Hon . the Earl of Hardwicke , R . W . P . G . M ., who took up with him £ 10 ios . ; by Bro . A . H . Moyes , W . D . P . G . M ., who took up vvith him

£ 147 ; by Bro . Oliver Papworth , W . M . of Scientific Lodge , No . 88 , who took up with him £ 21 ; by Bro . J . Taylor , P . M . and Treasurer of the Three Grand Principles Lod ge , No . 441 , who took up with him £ 84 ; by Bro . E . Arrnitage , W . The amount collected by Bro . A . H . Moyes includes the sum of twenty guineas given by the Provincial Grand Lodge to the Masonic Charities , and the sum of five guineas collected at the last P . G . L . banpuet . The Committee wish to express their thanks to Bros , the Rt . Hon . the Earl of Hardwicke , R . W . P . G . M . ; A . H . Moyes , W . D . P . G . M . ; Oliver Papworth , J . Taylor , E . Arrnitage , and J . R . Green , who so abl y represented this province as Stewards at the Annual Festival of the Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , and to those lodges and brethren who contributed so generously to their lists .

The Committee have during the year paid off 409 Boys' votes and 996 Gins' votes out of 871 borrowed for Kate Lilian Boning , and have lent 77 Benevolent votes .
