The last toast being duly honoured , brought a most enjoyable evening to its close . The musical arrangements , which were highly appreciated by all present , were under the management of Bro . Bryan , Organist , and an excellent choir of vocalists .

M . to present Bro . Charles Naylor , the I . P . M . and
P . P ' . G . Reg ., with a P . M . 's jewel for his past and valuable services to the lodge . The P . G . M ., in a very able speech , said that it gave him a great amount of pleasure to have been called upon to make that presentation , especially to such a worthy and distinguished a Mason as Bro . lodge . The P . G . M . had alluded to his connection vvith the Masonic Charities ; well , he thought that it behoved every Mason who had it in his power to support those Charities . He was pleased to see that many brethren had put their shoulders to the wheel by becoming members of
an association whicb would augment the voting power of the province . members and eight initiates , not to mention those who had been proposed that evening , vvas now the largest lodge but two in the province . He added that it must not be inferred from those remarks that that lodge had aimed at quantity at the expense of quality , since the greatest possible care had been taken to admit only such persons as would be likely to sustain in the highest degree the honour and dignity of the Craft .
