UNITED PILGRIMS LODGE ( No . 507 ) — A meeting of this lodge was held at the Surrey Alasonic Hall , Cambenvell New-road , S . E ., on the 19 th inst ., and was well attended . Bro . James Stevens , P . AL and Preceptor , opened the lodge , the officers being Bros . C H . Wiltshire ; S . VV . ; J . Style , J . W . ; H . A . Wiltshire , S . D . ; JN . BateJ . D . ; C . H . Phillips , I . G . ; James Terry ,

. , P . AL , Sec ; and F . Thurston , P . M ., Treas . There were also present Bros . B . Fullwood , P . AL ; H . M . Williams , R . VV . Pooler , and others . The lodge having been opened in the Second Degree , Bro Thurston as candidate proved F . C . proficency , and the ceremony of raising was rehearsed by the W . AL and officers in a most effective and impressive manner , the

traditional history being fully given , and Bro . Bate subsequently delivered the charge in AI . AL Degree Lodge was resumed to the First Degree and called off for " entry drill" and called on . Having been again raised the lodge was closed down in due order . Bro . Richard Poore was nominated by

the Preceptor as W . AL for the ensuing week , the officers to retain their present positions . Bro . Thurston announced his intention to serve as Steward at the ensuing Festival of Royal Masonic Institution for Girls , and acknowledged a liberal support by brethren . ROYAL COMMEMORATION LODGE ( No 15 S 5 ) . —On Monday , the 15 th inst ., a very large gathering of the members of this flourishing Iodge and their friends assembled at the lodge room at the Railway Hotel , Highstreet , Putney , to hear Bro . Insti-, tution , work the ceremonies of consecration and installation . The room was quite full , there being as we understand over So brethren present . Webb , P . M . 15 S 1 . After opening the lodge in due form , the ceremony of consecration was fully rehearsed in a most careful and impressive manner by Bro . Terry , who was followed throughout by the large gathering with marked and earnest attention . The musical parts were well sustained , Bro . Oliver presiding at the harmonium . At its conclusion Bro . Edward Ayling , W . AL of 975 , was duly installed by Bro . Terry in the chair of K . S ., in a manner eliciting the warmest

admiration . . . Bro . Ayling having appointed and invested his officers , Bro . Terry gave the ancient charges to the W . AL , the Wardens , and the brethren , and the ceremony of installation was brought to a conclusion . A grant of Five Guineas was made out of the lodge funds to the Royal Alasonic Benevolent Institution , and by

order of the lodge placed on the list of Bro . Featherstone , who goes up as Steward to the forthcoming festival as representative of the Wolsey Lodge , No . 1656 , of which he is J . W . .... , About a dozen brethren ( including Bro . Terry ) joined the lodge as ordinary members . A vote of thanks was passed by acclamation to Bro

Terry , who in responding thereto disclaimed any credit for discharging in a perfect manner the duties he had undertaken , holding as he did that no brother ought to attempt any ceremony that he did not feel in himself he was capable of carrying out to the letter , enlarging upon the subject to the evident profit and p leasure of his hearers . T he lodire was then closed amidst the hearty

congratulations of the assembly at the delightful and highly instructive evening which had been passed , and the meeting stood adjourned until the next Monday evening at eight o ' clock . We have been requested to state that the Iodge meets every Alonday evening throughout the year—except Bank Holidays—at eight o ' clock , and that the third anniversary supper will take place on the third Alonday in February .

WANDERERS LODGE ( No . 1604 ) . —A meeting of this Lodge was held on the 24 th inst . at the Black Horse Tavern , York-street , Buckingham-gate . There were present Bros . L . Nathan , iVV . AL ; ( . Nathan , Brindley , and Morse . _ Lodge was opened in due form and the minutes of last meeting confirmed . Bro . E . Nathan answered the questions leading to the Second Degree , and was entrusted . Lodge was then opened in the Second Degree and Bro . Nathan duly passed . Bro . Brindley answered the

questions leading to the Third Degree and was entrusted , and the lodge having been opened up , duly raised . After the election of Bro . Gibson as W . AL for next meeting the lodge was closed in harmony . The Wray Masonic Charitable Association in connection with this lodge of instruction has since its formation ( October 1 SS 1 ) , forwarded to the Charities 125 guineas .

WANDERERS CHAPTER ( No . 1604 ) . —The members of this chapter assembled at Freemasons' Hall , Great Queen-street , on Tuesday evening , the 16 th inst . Comps . C Smith , AI . E . Z . ; Geo . Boulton , H . ; and W . Vincent . J ., having opened the chapter , the minutes of the preceding convocation , were read and passed . The ballot was then taken for Bros . Edward Kensington , 1 S 53 ; Geo .

Alusson , Thos . VV . Harris , and 1 «\ William Ogg , all of the Wanderers Lodge , lt was in each case favourable . The candidates who presented themselves were Bros . Brindley ( who had passed the ordeal of the ballot at the previous convocation ) , George Alusson , and F . VV . Ogg . After the usual examination had been made , the brethren named were duly admitted to the Degree . The elections of Principals

After the proposition of one brother for exaltation the chapter was closed in peace and due form , and the companions adjourned for a short time , when the loyal and Alasonic toasts were duly honoured .

LITTLEBOROUGH .-Chapter of Benevolence ( No . 226 ) . —The members of this chapter assembled at the Red Lion Hotel on VVednesday , the 10 th inst . ; there were present Comps . C R . VV . declared favourable they were exilted into the Supreme Degree of the Holy Royal Arch by Comp . J . H . Sillitoe . A telegram was received from the H . elect stating his inability to be present . Comp . T . E . Heap , Z . elect , and Comp . George Wilson , J . elect , were presented to Comp . Sillitoe for installation , and were by him inducted into their respective chairs . Spears for the able manner in which he had perfonned the installation ceremony , and that the same be recorded in the minutes , which was seconded and carried unanimously . Bro . A . Spears thanked the brethren in a few appropriate remarks , and on behalf of himself and the brethren of the

lodge expressed the pleasure it afforded them to see the Provincial Grand Alaster present , which they deemed a great honour to the lodge . The Prov . Grand Alaster then addressed the brethren on the principles of Alark Masonry , and expressed his pleasure at meeting the brethren of Adams Alark Lodge . No . 6 .

and after "Hearty good wishes" from Grand and Provincial Grand Lodges , also from Gg , Chatham , the lodge was closed in due and ancient form . The brethren then sat down to an excellent banquet , provided by Airs Green of the above hotel , which received their approbation , and after passing a pleasant evening the brethren separated .

A grant of Five Guineas was made out of the lodge funds to the Royal Alasonic Benevolent Institution , and by

order of the lodge placed on the list of Bro . Featherstone , who goes up as Steward to the forthcoming festival as representative of the Wolsey Lodge , No . 1656 , of which he is J . W . .... , About a dozen brethren ( including Bro . Terry ) joined the lodge as ordinary members . A vote of thanks was passed by acclamation to Bro

Terry , who in responding thereto disclaimed any credit for discharging in a perfect manner the duties he had undertaken , holding as he did that no brother ought to attempt any ceremony that he did not feel in himself he was capable of carrying out to the letter , enlarging upon the subject to the evident profit and p leasure of his hearers . T he lodire was then closed amidst the hearty

congratulations of the assembly at the delightful and highly instructive evening which had been passed , and the meeting stood adjourned until the next Monday evening at eight o ' clock .
