ANNUAL SUPPER OF THE ROSE LODGE OF INSTRUCTION , No . 1622 .

The annual supper was held at the Surrey Masonic Hall , Camberwell , S . E ., on Saturday , the 31 st ult ., under the able presidency of Bro . S . J . Derham , W . M . of the mother lodge , supported by Bros . F . Hilton , P . M .: H . G . Martin , P . M " ., Treas . ; T . Grummant ,

M . ; S , Hilton , Frank Williams , P . M . ; Voisey , P . M . ; Braik , and W . Vincent .

After the excellent repast provided by Mrs . Venables , the proprietress , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were duly honoured . Bro . J . LOADER , P . M ., next stated it was his verj pleasing duty to present the toast of "The President , " which , he was confident , would be received with acclamation , as no brother was more highly esteemed in

the mother lodge than Bro . Derham , of which he was their worthy VV . M . Since his initiation he had been a very constant attendant at the Rose Lodge of Instruction , which had enabled him to carry out his duties in the lodge to their satisfaction , and which redounded great credit . He ( Bro . Loader ) was proud of one ol his boys , as he initiated him , and he was worthy of his

sire , being a most estimable Mason , and one doing his best to maintain the prestige of the Rose Lodge . In reply , Bro . DERHAM thanked the brethren most heartily for such a kind reception of the toast so ably put by his dear old friend , Bro . Loader , in almost too

llattering a manner . Certainly he had taken a deep interest in the Rose Lodge of Instruction , and had received many kindnesses lrom the brethren , but of one —their esteemed Bro . D . Rose , ' Preceptor—he could not be too grateful . He was very sorry to announce to the brethren that the doctor forbade him leaving

the house at night time , but the greatest sympathy was expressed toward him by the brethren on all sides , with the earnest desire that he would be in his accustomed position of Preceptor of such a lodge . Throug h the great kindness of Iiro . Rose , the President stated he had been enabled to carry out his duties with efficiency , ; md he trusted before leaving the chair to do credit to himself and entire satisfaction of the biethren .

The toast of " Success to the Rose Lodge of Instruc tion , " was next presented by Bro . DKKIIAM , remarking the valuable assistance that many brethren had obtained from it , through the ability of Bro . Q . Rose . In l'is absence he would ask Bros . Martin , Treas . ; Grummant , Sec ; and Stone , Asst , Sec , to respond .

Annual Supper Of The Rose Lodge Of Instruction, No . 1622.

M " ., Treas . ; T . Grummant ,

P . M ., Sec . ; C . H . Stone , P . M ., Asst . Sec ; Dawson , ICIyne , Baird , Sparkes , Cass , Hooper , Channon , Rice , Potter , Stunt , Salter , Salmon , Hayes , Choveaux , Barr , Ballard , Jeffery , Pickett , Sobel , Porter , Orton , Wynne , Jones , Reap , Barns , Lewis , Ashley , Loader , P . M . ; S , Hilton , Frank Williams , P . M . ; Voisey , P . M . ; Braik , and W .
