To the Editor of the " Freemason . " Dear Sir and Brother , It vvas announced in the Standard of Friday , the 20 th inst ., that the above will not be a Grand Lodge , but simply a meeting in the Albert Hall , to which Freemasons alone will be admitted . This I can testify will be a great
disappointment to hundreds of provincial brethren , besides myself , who purchased their tickets in a great measure , not only to show their loyalty to our Gracious Queen , but also to be present at and take part in the ceremony of opening and closing Grand Lodge on an imposing scale , such as might probably never occur again in the annals of Masonry in this country . I fully appreciate the difficulties attending the proper tyling of such a lodge in so large a hall , with its numerous ' entrances , but still , I think they might be overcome , and trust that even yet it is not too late to alter the arrangements—if it is a fact that they yet been made—othci wise I fear the seats of many who have applied for tickets will be vacant , and thus mar the effect of the assembly .
