Whether it was the Prince ' s popularity or his well-known business qualifications , which was the cause he could not say , probably it was both ; but it was a well known fact that his name was all that was required to ensure success to any undertaking . As for the other Grand Officers , all of them were Masons of note , and

he specially spoke of Lord Euston , who had made Mark Masonry his peculiar study , and reminded the brethren that his lordship would visit the province on December 15 th , as the guest of the Tristram Lodge . warmly received on rising to respond , said they were all deeply grateful to their respected Chaplain , Bro . Dr . Dunbar , for the eloquent and graceful terms in which he had proposed the toast , and to the brethren for their cordial reception of the same . The Walthamstow Lodge of Instruction comprised members from

nearly 40 regular lodges , and there were several of them experienced Past Masters , such as Bros . James Pinder , C . J . Cutchey , and others , who were regarded in the Masonic world as expert instructors and expounders of the ancient landmarks , principles , and tenets of the Order . Preceptorially speaking , he was

bound to say that he was more than pleased , he was proud , of the zeal , the skill , and ability evinced by so many of the junior members , who , by their assiduity , had gained the esteem and regard of their seniors , and were to be congratulated upon having entered upon that path which would undoubtedl y lead them to

Masonic honour and preferment . With regard to the Benevolent Association , that was the third that had been formed in connection with the Lodge of Instruction No . 2192 , and their united donations to the central Masonic Charities would amount to nearl y fifteen hundred guineas . The toasts of " The Chairman , " " The

Vice-Chairman , " "The Visitors , " and "The Officers and Stewards " were proposed in most felicitous terms and were heartily responded to .
